Need some recipe inspiration? We’ve got everything you need to make Shashuka - a warming, hearty brunch, supper or weekend breakfast. The key to a fantastic depth of flavour is the addition of Belazu Rose Harissa. Pair that with some Orchard bakery bread and Tim’s Dairy gorgeous Greek yoghurt and you’re on to a winner!
For more ideas of how to use rose harissa paste, see the link below:

https://belazu.com/inspire-me/15-ways-to-use-rose-harissa/

Prep: 5 minutes
Cook: 20 minutes
Easy

Serves 2
Ingredients
2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Onion, thinly sliced
1 Red pepper, thinly sliced
2 tbsp Belazu Rose Harissa
400g Chopped tomatoes
4 Eggs
Salt and pepper

To Serve
4 tbsp Greek yoghurt
1 tbsp Coriander, finely chopped
1 tsp Chilli flakes
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Method
STEP 1: Saute the onion and pepper in the olive oil over medium-high heat until soft, sweet and caramelised.
STEP 2:Add the Rose Harissa and fry for 1 minute. Then add the chopped tomatoes and cook until reduced by half.
STEP 3:Reduce the heat to a simmer and, with the back of a spoon, create 4 small wells in the sauce ready for your eggs. Crack 4 eggs into the wells, cover with a lid and cook for 5-8 minutes, depending on how you like your eggs.
STEP 4:To finish, dollop over the yoghurt, scatter over the coriander and chilli flakes and drizzle generously with the olive oil. Enjoy with toasted sourdough bread.

VILLAGE SHOP NEEDS YOUR HELP!

If every household spent just £10 a week with us it would make an enormous difference.

It’s a fragile existence, but a vital lifeline for some. We cannot compete on range or price (although we are cheaper on a good number of items!) with supermarkets, but we stock a good number of items, are always happy to stock requests and always have a smile and a wealth of local knowledge - as well as saving you a good deal of petrol. Plus you can order your newspapers, bread and dairy products.

How else can you help?
- join VARA (forms in the shop) - only £5 a year to support us
- volunteer to help out. It’s a great way to meet the community ( and you get free Christmas lunch!)
- let us know if there is anything you’d like us to stock and buy regularly and if we can, we’ll get it for you!
