Looking for something to warm you from the inside on these chilly evenings?
How about the Char'd Pineapple shot or cocktail. All you need is:
1 part Fireball Whisky
2 parts Pineapple juice

Mix them together and serve as a shot or pour over some ice into a glass. Enjoy

WHISKY WEDNESDAY 🥃

Since 1826 Pulteney Distillery has endured everything nature and man can throw at it, including 25 years of Prohibition. Today the distillery continues to thrive, producing their renown 12 year old single malt whisky matured next to the sea in fine American oak ex-bourbon casks as they always have. There is something reassuring about Old Pulteney, a reliable old friend with intense waves of fresh brine, toffee and salty sea air reminiscent of the Caithness coastline with honey, vanilla and spicy fruit washing across the palate in a faintly salty, long lasting finish.

Apparently the Old Pulteney wash still had to be shortened to fit in the still house, resulting in the unusual shape it has today, known as the 'smuggler's kettle' it is the beating heart of the distillery, shaping both the style of the bottles and the whisky it produces. - Sara-Jane, Slàinte mhath 🥃

To Make This Cocktail or Shot of a B-52 you will need:

1 part Kahlua
1 part Baileys
1 part orange liqueur, such as Grand Marnier

Add Kahlua to a cocktail or shot glass
Slowly pour the Baileys over the back of a spoon
Top with orange liqueur

You should have a layered effect from the different densities of the 3 alcohols. very nice 🤤

WHISKY WEDNESDAY 🥃🥃
Lochlea is an independent family owned distillery in the heart of Ayrshire, growing their own barley, distilling and maturing on site, creating a distinctive style of scotch whisky from local ingredients.

Each batch is released to coincide with the seasonal changes, this Fallow edition is inspired by the autumnal colour after harvest when the fields lie sleeping covered in gold and purple leaves, Lochlea developed a dark, rich whisky to warm as temperatures fall.

An opening of warm banana loaf, some dried fruit and leathery notes with malt biscuits. the finish is medium length with hints of aniseed and floral rose petals.

This one needs to be added to my list to try! - Sara-Jane, Slàinte Mhath 🤓🥃

WHISKY WEDNESDAY 🥃🥃

Something slightly different today, Kilchoman 100% Islay 11th edition. I love the idea that this single malt whisky is produced in one location, from growing and malting the barley on site at the farm, to distilling, maturing and finally bottling. In this world where everything seems to be outsourced due to ever tightening profit margins it is refreshing to find a Farm Distillery on Islay, that completes the whole journey on one site, the first distillery built on Islay in over 125 years.

The combination of lihtly peated barley matured in both bourbon and sherry casks creates an intense combination of floral sweetness, layers of rich fruity character and soft maritime peat smoke. - Sara-Jane, Slàinte Mhath 😍🥃
