We're sad to have to share this post today after having the shine completely taken off an otherwise excellent tasting evening last night. This is the first time we have had to do something like this, and it is not a decision we take lightly. We have always been so appreciative of the fact that we have such an enthusiastic and supportive customer base for our events, and this has always given us the confidence to reach out to our suppliers and ask them to give up their time and come to spend an evening with our valued customers. These events are so important to us, as they take a lot of time, care, and consideration and we always want to ensure the best possible experience for everyone. The goal of these evenings is to give our customers a lovely night out, learning about and tasting some of our favourite products.
Last night we were joined by Mark from The Cocktail Co and we're so grateful for his hard work. He took the whole evening in hand, doing a fantastic job keeping everyone engaged and enjoying their cocktails. We were so impressed with how well he handled the room - making jokes, giving lots of interesting facts, and he had a great repertoire of fun facts and quiz questions. He really did a fabulous job, and has already agreed to come back for another one. We truly thank him for his inate professionalism and good nature. Definitely a fan favourite in our lineup!
Whilst we welcome people to join us at our tastings to have a good time and connect with each other, we also expect a certain level of behaviour and respect towards our presenters. Basic manners should not be an exceptional ask.
Last night, one group were consistently disruptive and rude, almost intent on causing upset to those around them. Unfortunately, this is not the first time this group has behaved this way and we are now left with no choice but to stop them from attending any more of our events.
We would like to apologise to the rest of our guests for the disruption and we hope you were still able to enjoy your evening. We appreciate your support and for helping to make Mark feel welcome. Onwards to our next set of tastings; lots in the diary to look forward to and we hope you'll be joining us.
