I hope you had a good festive few days and enjoyed a few treats. Thank you for making it such a busy run up! I was lucky enough to enjoy a few very good bottles and am now thinking about what my final wine of 2024 will be. Shop is open today and tomorrow 11am to 3pm should you need a top up. Cheers!

Huge thanks to everyone who has been in over the weekend. It got a little manic at times on Saturday so thank you for your patience and huge thanks to for keeping things under control (not bad for an apprentice) and for fuelling us with the mince pies and coffee! They do love to inflate a price and then chop 25% off to make you think you’re getting a bargain! They’ll soon mark this down to around £40 and as soon as they do just shout and I’ll match it.this fake discounting does my head in and makes me think we’re all fools! Shop smart, shop local

The Christmas Dozen has been an even bigger hit than usual this year! Thanks to those who have ordered and they’ll be ready from Monday. More stock of most wines is due next week but if you’re thinking about it don’t delay! Thanks to all who came to the winter tasting last week. Port & Sherry Evening next Friday (sold out) and now open EVERYDAY(Sun 10:30-2:30) until Christmas!

Just two weeks until the Winter Tasting! The usual drill- 50 wines, delicious food and generous discounts in an informal, walkabout environment. Spaces are limited to keep it comfortable and enjoyable but a few still remaining. Get in touch if keen!

A great evening was had on Thursday with some lovely, enthusiastic customers, my old mate Rod Smith doing his thing and Tyrone aka providing delicious canapés. We tasted a dozen lovely wines of contrasting styles as Rod explained a bit about them and went off on the odd tangent. Highlights included the ever excellent Barolo. Thanks to for hosting and everyone who came a long! The following evening was spent with a few great bottles and, as always, great dishes and service! The next event is the Winter Tasting on 28/11
