Having spent a lot of this week bent over a toilet fitting floor tiles (in a very awkward space) I am so glad to be the right way up today! (I could probably draw the pipework from memory!!)

My huge flooring project at Minnies is finished! Trying to decide if I want bubbles or a spirit based drink to celebrate....... Or both....

Hooray - the sun is back (maybe it decided that going on holiday wasn't a good idea and has decided to have a staycation 😉😎)

More sunshine! I've got a bottle of Persie Distilleries 'Dachshund Gin Liqueur' chilling in my fridge for when I get home....

This is recycling at it's best (a by product of their fantastic Zesty Citrus Gin) but beware - it is very dangerous as it just slips down and before you know it the bottle is gone.....😮🤭😂

Some of you observe that other people drink your gin uninvited........

You need One Key Gin.

As the name suggests you need a key to open it (handily stored on the bottom of the bottle but you could keep it hidden elsewhere 😉 ) Cool bottle eh?

First they said next week would be a scorcher. Now they are saying it will be unsettled (aka it's going to rain a lot)... But we won't have to sit outside cafes, restaurants and pubs so will we care?

I'm sure the sun is shining somewhere (just not in Denmead at the moment!).

Had a busy week using my finely honed DIY (destroy it yourself) skills at the restaurant and I'm happy to be in the shop so that my poor knees get a rest from crawling around on the floor!

Hmm, I thought April was over and the 'showers' would be gone.... It is supposed to get better later, do we believe the forecast?

It's more a Cherokee day than Pomelo, Malbec rather than Pinot Grigio, and hot chocolate not milkshake 😂

After a somewhat difficult week I was so thrilled to open a delivery from the Wessex Distillery as their Rhubarb & Ginger Gin is BACK! (It's been unavailable for ages.....)

So not only do I have that one brightening up my shelves but also Gooseberry & Elderflower and the brand new Lemon & Ginger. Sunshine in a glass 🥂

Battle of the gin bottles day - trying to decide which is the prettiest one I have......... There are quite a few to choose from and they all have good gin inside so not just style over substance!

The sun is shining, the sky is blue and it isn't absolutely freezing! (And I'm extra cheerful because after 6 long months I've had my hair cut 😍 )

So what about a herby G&T to start your weekend? Packed full of bay, rosemary and basil the award winning Herby & Aromatic Gin from my friends up at the Persie Distillery is the one! (I've borrowed their photo as it has some blue sky in it!) Enjoy!

What an odd weekend. On the one hand the Queen has lost her husband of many years and on the other we are preparing to start down the road back to 'normality'. Raise a glass to celebrate both. 🍷

I'm looking forward to all the 'non-essential' businesses being able to open again. There will be a stampede to H**e for all those treatments we've missed and I can't wait for Thursday when I get my hair cut.

No more looking like a character from Fraggle Rock.....

'And now for something completely different.....' (Gosh that certainly ages me!)

Tequila!

(I know - now you are singing 'that' song!)

Making their debut in the shop are three of the Tequila's by 1800 (named for the year premium tequila - or that aged in casks, was first produced). I have 'silver', 'anejo' and the 'cristalino' (which is super pure and in a rather gorgeous bottle). All produced to be drunk neat but can also make the base for some awesome cocktails.

A very excited young lady told me that it's only one more sleep until the Easter Bunny visits!

The weather people tell me it's going to be sunny so I'm planning what to sip whilst sitting in the garden..... Fizz, wine, gin, rum or vodka...... (Or should I just see what's left at the end of today?)
