We’re getting round to some of our requests now…

One of our lovely customers asked us to consider making a Philpotts design, while we reminisced over some of the local shops together last year.

This will shortly be available online in the High Street Collection - in a range of products.

I’ll pop up a video later for a full 360° view!

Philpotts was based at 57 High Street for over 40 years! A really useful shop for caravan, camper and beach hut owners, selling calor gas, portable stoves, tools, paint, and other essential homewares.

Vic’s Dad (a keen DIYer and caravan owner) used to buy loads of stuff there and enjoy a wander round.

This is something I've been working on long before Oh My Naze! launched in August 2022. It's one of those things I've worked on in the background, but never have time to complete, because you need to spend time making sure everything is as accurate as possible. And with help from the lovely members of the Martello Caravan Park Memories Group on FB, I've managed to complete it this week!

For those of you who have homes on Hamford Park - this is the site your homes were built on! I've even mapped addresses to the specific places, so drop me a What's App if you'd like to know what was where your home stands. 🙂

I've chosen to work on my two favourites eras of the Martello Caravan Park:
• The site I remember from the early 80s (before the new larger grocery store was built at the front of the site, and arcade extended, and before the bingo moved)
• The mid-80s to 90s site (after the new grocery store, arcade extended, bingo moved, and before the old reception was moved to the opposite side of the road and the new bingo and cafe added). This one I remembered better as I was a bit older.

I may end up doing some later and even older versions of the site, but these are the ones I've chosen to launch with.

They will be available to order shortly on the website as prints (in various sizes), and are based on the styling of the old site map that used to hang in the old reception building (with all the luggage trolleys outside).

It's Saturday night and here I am working on lots of new designs and collections for the new season (don't forget Oh My Naze! is for all occasions - not just Summer souvenirs! 😉 )

We've got our usual local-themed goodies and gifts for Valentine's, St Pats, Mother's Day, Easter, Father's Day and beyond!

And if you need business printing, or one-off personalised/customised items in the meantime, just send us a WhatsApp.
