Celebrating #WorldBookDay, we're diving into our second feature in our series, showcasing the unique connection between beloved storybook characters and bespoke cocktails. This time, it's David's turn—Nelson's Gin, Vodka, & Rum School Manager, who steps into the shoes of Old Man Lochnagar, bringing a piece of Scottish lore to life. Introducing the Nelson’s Gin Nagar: Ingredients: ◾50ml Nelson’s London Dry (Navy Strength Gin for an added kick) ◽A dash of Angostura Bitters ◾Ginger beer or Irn-Bru for a Scottish twist ◽A teaspoon of Scottish Honey ◾A handful of foraged Blackberries ◽A sprig of foraged Heather ◾A piece of Fruit Shortbread ◽Crushed Ice Instructions: Fill a tall glass with crushed ice, then pour over 50ml of Nelson’s No.7 Gin. Add a splash of ginger beer (or Irn-Bru for a Scottish twist), and stir in a teaspoon of Scottish Honey. Drizzle Angostura Bitters on top, and garnish with blackberries and heather. Serve with fruit shortbread on the side for the ultimate Old Man Lochnagar experience. Nelson’s Distillery & School

Nelson’s Distillery & School is a multi-award-winning craft distiller that produces premium Gin, Vodka & Rum.

The business also offers the unique experience of distilling your own 70cl spirit at its highly coveted Gin & Vodka School.

This 5 hour interactive, hands-on experience gives students an in-depth introduction to the art and precision of distilling. Students pick and blend their own unique recipe and watch as it distills before their eyes. It’s then waxed and labeled all ready to be taken home that day.

Earlier this year Nelson’s Distillery opened its second School out in the Philippines and has recently announced its expansion in the UK with new sites popping up in Manchester, Leeds, and Birmingham.
