Wine of the Week… Luigi Bosca Cabernet Franc De Sangre, Mendoza, Argentina 15% OFF this week! Now only £14.20 this week only! The winery has 7 estates spread out across Mendoza, the vines for this Cabernet Franc come from El Pariso, the oldest and largest of these, situated by the Mendoza River in Maipu. Here the length of the growing season and generous amount of sunlight ensures the grapes reach full ripeness and helps to avoid some of the green pepper/herbaceous aromas often associated with their French counterparts. The name of the wine translates “of blood” and the family insists it is a reference to the fact that these wines should be shared with loved ones. On the nose, the wine unveils enticing aromas of dark fruit and subtle oak spices, which intensify on the palate. It is medium-bodied with a harmonious blend of ripe fruit flavours that are enhanced by bright acidity. The tannins are ripe but firm, contributing to a balanced and medium-length finish.
