Something special for the weekend ⭐️ 🍷

Evangeline Syrah from house faves Chaffey Bros won ‘Best in Show’ at the 2024 Decanter Wine Awards, placing it among world’s top 50 wines.

An elegant cooler climate expression of Shiraz distinct from its Barossa Valley brethren with its lifted perfume and delicate structure. Cool blue fruits are intertwined with silky tannins and subtle oak influence from 18 months maturation in fine grain French oak puncheons and hogshead barrels. To summarise, it's delicious!

Highly recommended, and with only 490 cases made, stock extremely limited.

Experimental Series #6

Each year at our Ullapool distillery we like to mix things up a bit, to try out some new ideas. Our single batch Experimental Series is the result, and #6 explores barrel ageing. Rested for 3 months in a cask that has held bourbon in America, before going on to Worthy Park in Jamaica, where it aged rum for 4 years.

The resulting Experimental Series #6 gin has picked up some tropical notes, and also some vanilla sweetness from the barrel. Adventurous and unusual, this one is great neat over ice.

We are incredibly honoured that our Seven Crofts gin was the official gin at the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony for Great Britain & Ireland 2025 Glasgow.

This prestigious event took place last night at the Kelvingrove Art Gallery & Museum in Glasgow, and we are so excited to have been a part of it!

With Dry January behind us, let's refocus out attention on our award wining Seven Crofts Fisherman's Strength Gin. Small batch, hand-crafted here in Ullapool, we are very proud of our accolades for this exceptional gin, even if we do say so ourselves.

Possibly the most moreish of all the snacks on our shelves…

Howdah make an amazing array of poppadoms, chips, Bombay Mix, dippers and these bahjis. All incredibly tasty, and vegan too.

Additionally, every pack sold helps a child in need. Millions of children miss out on education because of hunger. Howdah are working to change that.
For every pack sold, they give a free school lunch to a child who has the drive to learn, but lacks the means, helping to change their life and those of their family forever.

So there’s absolutely no excuse not to enjoy them!

Wine can be confusing. How is wine NOT vegan?

A wine is considered vegan if no animal-derived products are used during its production. While grapes themselves are vegan, the clarification process (known as fining) often involves substances like egg whites, casein (milk protein), gelatin, or isinglass (fish bladder). Vegan wines avoid these and instead use alternatives like bentonite clay, pea protein, or activated charcoal for fining, or skip the fining process entirely. Labels or certifications usually indicate if a wine is vegan-friendly.

We have a variety of vegan wines from a number of producers, but it’s not always obvious - this Martin Codax Albariño is clearly labelled as vegan, even if the front label is illegible… If in doubt, just ask - we’re here to help!
