We have an outstanding line-up for you over the next few weeks. This weekend we have the fabulous Gypsy Jacks with us. Spectacular musicians individually and mesmerising together. We’re looking forward to a good dance behind the bar that’s for sure!
If you’re looking for something special for Christmas Day or the perfect gift, we can help you put together a collection of craft ales to impress #mumbles #craftales
Such a treat to have Dusty Earth Band in with us last night for open mic. Nothing puts a smile on my face like great live music and a bar full of people dancing 🪕
The energy in the bar last night was amazing. Storytellers, music makers and a whole heap of happy. Massive thanks to Filkin's Music for their magnetic performance and the delightful audience. It was a joy to do a few songs for you too ☺️ For those who were new to Mumbales, we have live music every Friday and Saturday 🎶
And Saturday night only got wilder with a staggeringly good performance from Full Phat. Absolutely tremendous evening that I’m sure will stick in many memories. We had such a great time dancing behind the bar too.

Saturday night at Mumbales 🎶 🎻
John Davies getting more audience participation than he expected on Friday 😂 John will be entertaining us on Saturday evening - he a fantastic folk talent, chooses the best songs and is a tremendous support for our open mic evening. He also has great taste in beer - his currently favourite is “I can’t believe it’s not-Ella” by Glen Affric Brewery
We had Jemma Krysa in Mumbales as part of the Lucky Chancer festival and we are so excited to have her back for a full set on Saturday evening #mumbles #swansea #swanseamusic #visitswansea #craftale
Reminder of the weekends events. Tonight we have Paul Edwards at 8:30pm and tomorrow we have the fabulous Anthill Blues Trio at 6:30pm. Perfect for those of you who, like me, like to be in bed by 9pm 😂
A short compilation of music from Mumbales over the two bank holidays. What a line up!! 😍 Thanks to Ian Shimmin, Jemma Krysa Music, Sloe Jam, No Obligation, The Worried Men of Gower, The Anthill Blues Trio, Ian James, Gypsy Jack, John Davies, Wide-eyed and oblivious, The Green Tops and everyone else who has graced us with your wonderful music. Many of these performances are from Mumbales Friday Night Open Mic and we are so grateful to every performer who comes along 🎶
It’s been a fantastic weekend and I have so many people to thank. Firstly to our sound engineers Gordon Wride and Ian Rhydderch for ensuring all went smoothly, and sounded lovely. To each and every musician who played throughout the weekend - Gordon, Ray, Karen, Nathan, Anthony, Hilary, Lyn, John, Tony, Alun, Marieke, Ian, Alex and the rest of The Worried Men of Gower, who’s names I didn’t learn 🤦🏻♀️ (If it’s any consolation, like a typical barmaid, I’ve memorised your drinks order). To The Worried Men and John Davies for letting me sing with you, it was an honour. To the wonderful locals who covered the bar so I could go out to a wedding on Saturday afternoon and the rest of the Mumbales team. And finally, to every customer who visited us. It is a privilege to bring you such terrific local music, and spend the weekend with a tremendous community. I’m excited to get started on filling the shelves you cleared… it looks like a plague of craft ale and cider loving locusts have visited us 😂 If you have any photos or videos, I’d love to see them - I feel a video montage coming on! This is one of my personal highlights. Lots of love, Hermione ###
I know you didn’t think it was possible, but we’ve increased our range of ales, and all it took was a snap of the fingers 😉
Now stocking Wander Beyond brewing co, Flowerhorn, Mondo brewing, Tartarus Brewing and we have your favourites from Tiny Rebel back in. We‘ve also increased our alcohol free range which now includes a stout, a red IPA and even non alc Clwb Tropica, and we’ve got more gluten free ales for you to try.
Once Upon a Time, a battle reenactment group, a hen party, and a 60th birthday party from Tenby, met on the Mumbales dance floor. The music, pink gin and ale, cast a happy spell over everyone and they danced the night away. A wonderful time was had by all and they lived happily ever after. The End.
We’re open and ready for the France V Italy. Have you had your Sunday morning walk? Or even a cold swim? Next stop… Mumbales!
