We’re so lucky to still have a shop and Post Office here in Waters Upton.

Thank you to everyone who supports us and keeps our village store open.

We’re nearly at 1000 followers 🎉

❗ Avian Flu outbreak

Our animal health team have been notified of a new outbreak of highly pathogenic Avian Influenza H5N1 in a large commercial poultry flock near Wem in Shropshire.

We're urging residents and businesses who house birds, to remain alert for any signs of disease and report any cases of suspected disease immediately.

These independent shops need you more than the supermarkets. We value your custom throughout the year 🥰 ….come see us tomorrow.

Here at Waters Upton Stores we have lots of Christmas cards, Wrapping paper all under £2.
We have candles, wreaths, biscuit tins, jams and chutneys to make lovely little Christmas gifts.

Need to send cards or parcels before last posting dates?….. The Post Office is open 9am till 12pm and Evri Collect everyday aswell.
Or if you’re heading to into town call and grab a coffee and cash withdrawal on the way and support small businesses by reducing their card fees.
So many ways we can help small business not just tomorrow but everyday.

To all our farmers heading down to London today, and all our farmers having to stay behind to milk, to feed calves, to tend to their flocks and pigs - to do what they do every single day.

To those who own their farms, and to those that rent their farms. To those who have enjoyed a lifetime working their land and building a resilient business that the next generation are excited to take on. To those that are just starting out and battling to make ends meet. To those who have invested heavily in getting their farms future proofed. To those who probably should be slowing down a bit, but can't. To those who love their way of life, and those that are questioning their way of life. To those who are struggling to know what to do next. To those who are terrified of what might come next.

To those who work so hard to feed our nation, take care of our beautiful countryside and pass on your knowledge, work ethic and lifestyle to the next generation.

Know that we stand right behind you. The whole bloody country does.

We all know prices of goods never come down…….
HOWEVER…..ladies and gentlemen, here at Waters Upton Stores they do 🤯
We have been working with different suppliers over the last few weeks….

Milk and Bread be significantly cheaper as of Monday 18th November….. this is just the start.
Still quality British milk and Hovis bread is available.

If we can supermarkets can but they choose not too….shop smart, shop local 🥰

Can you help this years poppy appeal please?

There are vacancies for house to house poppy sellers.

Do you have a couple of hours to spare please?
Areas include Crudgington, Cold Hatton, The Stackyard, and Waters Upton.

The poppies are ready and can be collected from Waters Upton shop.

The Royal British Legion do an amazing job and its possible because of the annual poppy appeal.

🚧 ROAD CLOSURE ALERT: Badger Relocation! 🦡🚧

Attention, everyone! The West End of Crudgington Moor Road, near the B5062, will be closed from 14th October due to a little badger business. It turns out our furry friends have gone overboard with their tunneling and it's now it's time to move them to a less... public location.

They’re protected under the Badgers Act 1992, so rest assured they’ll be safely moved. In the meantime, please take a detour unless you’re keen on joining the badgers for an impromptu open house! 🚧

Access to Wrekin Forest School is via Rodway and Kynnersley - the bottom section of Crudgington Moor Lane will be open.
