Post Office & Shop Co-Ordinator Vacancy

Post Office:
Llanmadoc Community Shop is looking for a unique individual who is community driven to take over the post mistress/master role.
The post office is open Monday to Saturday 10am-12pm.
A job share arrangement could be considered but the position to be filled, means the full undertaking and responsibility of the post office duties and requirements.
The post office pays a small remuneration and additional pay can be made through sales of products and services. Current rates can be discussed by contacting the current post mistress, Karen for further information.

Shop Co-ordinator:
Ideally, we would like the same person to coordinate shop duties such as ordering stock, liaising with volunteers, managing Rota’s etc. and overseeing and maintaining all shop functions.
Hours for the Shop Co Ordinator are 15 per week at a rate of pay of £13.70 per hour

♻✅ Please ensure the tubes are completely empty before recycling and leave the lid on so this can be captured too.

Our monthly shop article was missed in the January 24 parish magazine edition, so here is a shortened version.

The shop will be open as usual on Saturday 23rd December. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day and re-open on Wednesday 27th December.
We will be closed on Monday January 1st and back open Tuesday 2nd January.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED SO FAR. WE STILL HAVE A FEW REQUESTS FOR CHRISTMAS PRESENTS ON THE TREE IF ANYONE IS ABLE TO BUY ONE. Our Christmas Tree is up and once again we are supporting the Mr X appeal. If you are able to, please come and choose a gift to buy from the tree. Once the gift tag is removed then put a bauble in its place. Thank you 🎄

Dear Gower residents,

I’m contacting you as we are recruiting for a new Gower Local Area Coordinator. We are keen to involve residents to ensure you have a say in who your next Coordinator will be.

The recruitment will be in two parts; in the morning a group activity involving a group of you where the candidates will be tasked with facilitating conversations about community and you will be helping to score each candidate. For the second session we’ll only need one local representative to sit on a panel interview – this may be the same afternoon or on a different day, we’ve yet to arrange that.

At the moment the potential date for interviews is MONDAY 9th OCTOBER at Reynoldston village hall.

If you’d be interested in taking part and are available on the 9th October, please let me know or if you know of others please do share this email with them.

This person would work every Friday and alternate Saturdays but there is some flexibility around this.
Hours 9.30am-12.30pm at a rate of £13.25 per hour
