Tomorrow the store will be closed for the change over of ownership and will reopen on Friday 17th November.

I would like to take the opportunity to say a huge thanks to all you wonderful lot who have shopped and supported us over the past 6 years, it has been an absolute pleasure getting to know and serve so many of you.
Thank you also to all the staff past and present, as well as the local suppliers, they have all been a huge part of shaping the shop and I couldn’t be more grateful for working alongside such incredible people.

I wish you all well for the future, please continue to support Budgens with the new owners and I hope to keep bumping into many of you out and about in Long Melford.

We gave you a little peek on stories yesterday of our new Refill Station, but here it is up in all its glory!
Made up of cereals, pasta, rice and nuts would you believe we wanted to put this in in 2020 before the world went a little crazy and the direction we had planned changed dramatically!
Next step is swapping as many packaged fruit and veg for loose. 🙌🏻

The temperature outside is half what it was this time last week!!
The oven can go back on for this ByRuby Chicken and Leek Pie (my personal favourite) if you haven’t tried this yet it is a must!!

Today we have mini me Budgens and mini me EGF Free Range Eggs doing a bit of work experience at the shop. Both working so hard putting the delivery out and serving customers.
Poppy is also getting to see our customers buy the eggs from her family farm and Phoebe is enjoying showing her the ropes of the retail! 🤪

A huge thank you to all that visited the Open Gardens at the end of May. Even through the rain it was fantastic to see so many people out and enjoying the village.

We are very pleased to announce we raised £3400 which this year is being split between Melford in Bloom and The Cure CJD Campaign in memory of Robert Clubb who organised the event with his wife Melonie for 12 very successful years.
