The White Peak Distillery recently earned of the top two accolades in the inaugural English Whisky Awards - a community-driven vote that directly reflects the audience's judgement - including Best English Single Malt for their superb Wire Works Bourbon Barrel release.

Burns Night 2025 is now consigned to history. Over 60 guests joined us for an evening of whisky, haggis and bagpipes for an ode to the North, celebrating the inimitable beauty of the Scottish landscape and the immortal legacy of Robert Burns. We’re not so much poets at Nickolls & Perks but we’re deeply passionate about whisky, paying homage to The Bard with a fine selection of Scottish drams.

Following our recent single cask release from Ardnamurchan, we welcomed Sales Executive Carl Crafts from the distillery to give his first-hand insights into their award-winning malts. Guided by Carl, guests enjoyed some of the rarest releases from this stalwart producer, leading up to our latest Nickolls & Perks independent bottling; a unique collaboration born from our longstanding relationship with Ardnamurchan and Adelphi.

What’s your favourite Dram or Wine? A Pinot-dominant Champagne, such as Christian Gosset, Croix Courcelles Grand Cru. A powerful and complex wine, perfect with just about anything or nothing.

What’s your favourite local restaurant? Adam's if I’m feeling flush; Boston Tea Party Birmingham, particularly for Brunch

What’s your desert island drink? An everlasting Mojito to remind me of the vibes of Cuba.

We are thrilled to bring you a project we’ve dreamed about for years. Back when we first laid hands on some of the rarer bottles from the Buffalo Trace Distillery, the idea of such a collaboration felt like a distant dream. Fast forward to today, and after an extensive tasting of several single barrels, we’re proud to announce the arrival of our very own Nickolls & Perks Single Barrel Stagg.

This exclusive release will be available only at our Stourbridge shop on Saturday, 18th January from 11am. We will also be joined by Buffalo Trace during the launch, pouring other whiskeys from the distillery, bringing a day filled with fun and excitement.

If you’ve joined us for recent Buffalo Trace tastings, keep an eye on your inbox – details about securing your bottle will be sent out in the coming days. For others eagerly awaiting this release, stay tuned – an online launch may follow in the weeks to come.

Meet The Team! Amanda Street, our Sales Administrator, has been a valued member of the Nickolls & Perks team for over 14 years. She plays a pivotal role in overseeing order processing from bonded warehouses, managing overseas exports, issuing invoices, and ensuring timely payment collections.

What’s your favourite Drink? I’m not much of a drinker, but I do love Bollinger and every now and then, I enjoy treating myself to a small glass of Baileys.

What’s your favourite local restaurant? I don’t eat out very often because I love cooking at home. However, when I do indulge, I really enjoy a steak from Miller & Carter or a meal at The Old Wharf Inn

What’s your desert island drink? It has to be a Pina Colada!!

What’s your favourite Band/Artist? Definitely Michael Bublé—I’ve been to a couple of his concerts, and they were amazing. I also really enjoy Rag’n’Bone Man; his voice is incredible.

What’s something you think is totally overrated? Expensive handbags and shoes. I just don’t see the point in spending a fortune on either—they’re not really my thing.

and finally, What’s your guilty pleasure? Definitely Dib Dabs and Sherbet Fountains—I can’t get enough of them. They’re such nostalgic treats, and I indulge in them all the time!
