Famed Polish sommelier Adam - the Daniel Craig of the wine world 💪- will be hosting a special tasting, where we will sample the most incredible, and rare, wines from Central Europe.

Take a closer look at our Sparkling Wine collection specially selected to add fizz to any occasion. The Departement 11' Blanquette de Limoux, pictured, is a fabulous, fresh fizz and outstanding value. This sparkler has a fresh, green apple flavour and is lovely and soft in the mouth. This doesn’t have the strong acidity of Champagne, so is VERY easy to drink. Our best-selling sparkling wine, by a country mile!

An event not to be missed….
MARC HOUGH’S GRAPEST HITS 2024, PART TWO!
To further celebrate being crowned Food and Drink Retailer of the Year at the 2024 Manchester Food and Drink Awards, we are hosting a very special wine tasting event - with a six-course lunch – at each of our branches:
SALE: Saturday November 2nd at 1pm
HEATON MOOR: Saturday November 9th at 1pm
These are eagerly anticipated, twice-yearly events - where our award-winning founder Marc Hough showcases the very best wines he has tasted in 2024, alongside a delicious six-course ‘small-plates’ lunch – with the dishes expertly paired to specially match the wines.
Marc spends a lot of his time travelling around the world hunting out great new wines (it’s such a tough job) – and so far this year he has tasted his way around France, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Croatia, hunting some truly incredible bottles that he cannot wait to share with you.
Many of the wines that will be showcased at these events are exclusive to Cork of the North and have never been sold in the UK before.
