Wednesday was a at of contrasts, with a quick canvass session in Dunbridge, followed by a radio hustings with some of the candidates for this seat at community radio station Awaaz in Southampton. The single biggest point of agreement from all the candidates was that Cats Protection has run the most effective email lobby so far this election. With my growing band of adopted cats I am already a big fan of theirs and have hosted events in Parliament for their fostering service for the feline pets of domestic abuse survivors.

Stockbridge was gloriously sunny in the afternoon and it was great to bump into local resident Robbie who wanted a poster for his garden. We were in Romsey yesterday evening, and I managed to catch up with some of the Treviglio Close residents. They have previously raised with me the issue of management companies on new developments simply not delivering adequate standards. This is something I have been working on in Parliament on a cross party basis and I hope to be returning to it in July.
