We are now selling Christmas cards and 2025 calendars in aid of our local british wildlife rescue center.
The cards were painted by our wonderful and talented Sandon village resident : Yvonne, who also took a few of the photographs for the calendar.
All the photos in the calendar are of some of the animals they have rescued over the year.
For every item sold every penny is given to the British wildlife rescue center.
Cards £2 each and Calendars £10 each.

Rememberance Sunday.

A very Big thank you to all the men, women and animals who gave there life and served in the wars. And to all who have and continue to protect us in our own country as well as around the world.
We are all so grateful. And you will not be forgotten.

Reflecting on this day I would also like to thank Simon Shelly for all his dedication,time and hard work for not only looking after the war memorial in Sandon Village but for always going above and beyond when creating his Rememberance displays outside his home and also for today's Rememberance ceremony display up at all saints church Sandon. It made it so special considering we were unable to have it at the war memorial in the center of the village.
A thank you to The Harrowby Estate for making the walk up to the Church, an ease and pleasure. As they cut back the hedges and verges and cleared the way.
And thank you to Lord Sandon, Sandon Parish council, Miss Robin and representatives from Mumbles and everyone who lay a wreath. As well as the young lady who played the trumpet, beautifully. An Mark who carried the flag with honor. Thank you to Sandon All Saints Church for beautiful service.
And last but not least James for organising today's wonderful Rememberance tribute. You did a wonderful job in organising the temporary venue and putting it altogether so smoothly. There was a fantastic turn out and Everyone has commented on what a great Rememberance Sunday it was.

It was great to see everyone from Sandon Village and the surrounding villagers paying their respects. The community spirit was amazing.

Road work News undate:
Unfortunately the road is now not having a traffic light system,they are trying to push through and completely finish the job so they can fully open.

Unfortunately the A51 is still closed around in the middle of Sandon.
The traffic light system hasn't been set up yet.....I'll keep you posted.

I think there's 3 different varieties.
I don't know if they are edible but if they are or farm animals can eat them someone's more than welcome to pick and have them for free.

We received this great video clip from Chris at the Dog and Doublet this morning. They are making great head way on the road resurfacing in Sandon this morning.

An update....... They will be putting a two way traffic light system in this evening (7pm ish) for the A51 Lichfield Road. The junction at the Dog and Doublet will still be closed until Friday evening when it all should be completed and the roads should be back in business. Hooray x
