Posting abroad this Xmas?

When sending parcels and large letters abroard this year to avoid delays please do not leave it until the last minute!
Customs forms will need to be completed (even for Europe and the Channel Islands).
Please feel free to pop in and collect your customs forms for filling in at home so that your parcel is ready for us to process.
(Don't worry, we will also be happy to explain in advance how to complete the form if necessary too).

We want to say a MASSIVE thank you to our team who work here. It is no exaggeration to say that every inch of the shop needed cleaning. It was tedious, hot and dusty work (which today was completed in the dark!) They are amazing and we are very grateful!

Hi,
Well it has been a challenging week or so! The shop was ramraided and the till was stolen with the float in it for the next day but the damage was worse than we could ever anticipate. Whilst we appreciate that our closure has been an inconvenience to our customers please understand that it has been a much greater inconvenience to us. Afterall. this is a home as well as a business and upstairs is uninhabitable at the moment due to structural instability.
The repair work has now been authorised and the insurers have just confirmed that they will pay which is a huge relief so we are now just waiting for the builders to start. If all goes to plan we will be open again soon but there will be less shelving and stock while we try to source replacements for the damaged fittings. Please bear with us in the meantime. After previous robberies we were open the same day or next day and we would have been this time too if it was not for the structural damage. The safety of family, customers and our terrifically, amazing, wonderful staff has to come first. ( Yes i am buttering them up a bit as they have no idea how much cleaning there is for them to help with before we can open!😉 Shush, its our little secret!)

Sorry, there will be no Post Office at the Happy Cheese this week as it's my turn to test positive for covid. I am hoping that normal services will resume next week.

I am so sorry but I am currently experiencing covid related staff shortages.
Unfortunatley I will not be able to run the post office at the Happy Cheese tomorrow (thursday 13th jan). However, I do intend to be back on tuesday 18th jan 11am - 2pm (staff permitting).

In the meantime, if we can be of any assistance, Bartley post office is open 7 days a week.

Humble apologies to our lovely customers. Unfortunately due to circumstances way beyond our control and staff shortages we are unable to open the Post Office at the Happy Cheese this week. Normal service will resume next week.

We are respectfully asking that following government guidelines ALL customers (unless exempt) wear a facemask. This is to protect our customers and staff.
If you do not have a mask and are not exempt then please wait on the pavement outside and we will do our best to serve you from there.

If customers do not adhere to this request we will be quite within our rights to limit access again.
We will not tolerate any abuse from customers.
