We are starting some recycling schemes at the village store - things the local council are unable to collect. We have already been collecting used glasses for some time but we are now adding Babybel packaging, cheese packaging, bread packaging and biscuit and cake packaging. Please see the attached posters for information on what we can and can't take and start bringing these in to the shop. Hope fully there will be more schemes available in the future but we're starting with these.

Christmas Eve! Your last carol as we're closed tomorrow. If you haven't seen the 'monks' perform this, search on the internet for a giggle! We're off to the crib and Christingle service at Hubberholme church later, then home to watch a triple bill of Raymond Briggs films - The Snowman, The Snowman and the Snowdog, and Father Christmas. The forth Sunday of advent. Time to light the penultimate candle on your advent ring. Unless you made the coat hanger and tinsel creation as recommended by Blue Peter some decades ago - in which case keep away from fire!
