Fresh on at Kiveton Tap we have Tall Trees 🌲🌴from Left Handed Giant.

A hazy DIPA with Eggers Special & Nelson Sauvin hops. A love letter to New Zealand hops. Eggers Special produces notes of lime, hay & green tea. Backed up by some choice Nelson Sauvin for a boost of pressed grape & passionfruit, the texture is rich & indulgent while balancing a soft drinkability.

And here's one for the 🇩🇪 German and Belgian 🇧🇪 style beer lovers!

From Camba, The Schnabulierer, a Belgian Ale. It has a flavour profile of herbal and pear notes with a dry finish. Sparkling, fruity and soft. The use of a special yeast makes the beer an incredibly slim and dry pleasure.

Weiherer Bock Bourbon Style Oak Aged beer from Brauerei Kundmüller in Germany. A strong, light-colored Doppelbock, aged for several months in straight bourbon barrels. The beer has notes of vanilla, honey, and strong malt, balanced with a hint of smoke and wood from the bourbon barrels.

New Bristol Brewery's Double Chocolate Beetroot Cake Stout is a 6% stout featuring chocolate, vanilla, beetroot... and a pink foam!

We have Baize. Chocolate and mint are a match made in heaven. Baize is a rich, beautifully dark beer with subtle roasted notes. The refreshing hint of cool mint elevates it, leaving a tantalizingly fresh finish.

Yonder Banoffee Pie is a dessert lovers dream... rich caramel and sweet bananas topped with whipped cream on a crumbly biscuit base. Luxurious and decadent!

New beer on the shelf today at Kiveton Tap, from Polly's Brew Co.

🐍 Snake City. Let this incredible 6% IPA take you on a cascading trip along the flavour wheel, with floral, pine and robust grapefruit notes from Chinook doing their thing, before fresh cut lime, lemon and just a hint of floral complexity join the party from Citra, before rounding off with sweet tropical fruits, apricot, and a slight hebal edge from Ella complete things.

Double Floret. Here they've doubled everything up from their flagship pale ale Floret – more Citra, more Simcoe, and more Azacca, doubling the ABV up to 8.4% for good measure.
A chewy, thick, tropical juicebomb of a beer, and the perfect accompaniment for our flagship.

Turning Fragile. A beer absolutely saturated in flavour – big passionfruit, pineapple, peach, tangerine and blueberry notes play off a bubblegum sweetness in this all out show of sheer alchemy from the brew team. Exciting news for Kiveton Tap, after an amazing year, we can finally announce an agreement has been reached to become a new WETHERSPOONS EXPRESS. Wetherspoons owner and spokesman Tim Martin says "Following on from the successful model of Tesco Metro, Morrisons Daily, Sainsburys Local, and whatever the Asda version is, we're excited to be opening our first Wetherspoons version here in Kiveton!" He went on to say, "we're looking forward to serving drinks to the community, initially opening 24 hours a day, with the plan to extend the opening hours in the near future! Welcome to the start of "Wexprespoons".

Now on't Tap, at Kiveton Tap, from Duality Brew Co and Elusive Brewing we have Bright Lights, Big City.

Low in bitterness but bright in appearance and flavour, with a punchy aroma. Lots of fresh Citra in the whirlpool before dry hopping with Citra Cryo, Idaho-7 Cryo and farm fresh 2024 crop Nelson Sauvin from Eggers Hops.

Brewed with a rich grist of oats, dextrin malt and Vermont yeast for a velvety mouthfeel. Citra, Mosaic and Ekuanot hops bring vibrant hot-side flavours, while Simcoe and Sabro dry-hopping add layers of tangerine, coconut, tropical and stone fruits. Today is release day, from Tartarus Beers and Emperor's Brewery we have in can Knight of Ren, a 12.2% Coconut, Pistachio and Chocolate Imperial Stout.

A sweet, rich, smooth and full bodied imperial stout conditioned on 120Kg of coconut, chocolate and pistachio essence.

Along with that we have another 12.2%. Bokkenrijder. Triple Chocolate Imperial Stout. Brewed with Dutch Bargain, from The Netherlands. Cacao powder was added in to the mash and whirpool along with cacao nibs and vanilla during conditioning.

Finally, Harlequin. A robust 5.4% porter. Coffee and caramel adjuncts were added during conditioning to replicate the popular coffee drink.

All 3 are on the shelf at Kiveton Tap today.

Trek to the Tap to try this from Track Brewing Co.

With a superbly smooth base of Pilsner malt, wheat, oats and a low percentage of Vienna malt, Half Dome really hits the spot balancing drinkability with exuberant hop character. Enigma, Citra and Simcoe form the trifecta of flavour here, offering underripe mango and pineapple with clean herbal notes of sweet basil and papaya on the finish.

A little snippet of last night's performance, this was the unplugged section at the end of the evening...you could have heard a pin drop, everyone was captivated by Embers - Acoustic Duo!

Unfortunately, due to my recent illness, this weeks' Sunday Quiz (the 2nd March) will, I'm afraid, have to be cancelled - I've just not had time to put it together, and won't have time before Sunday. Apologies, but the quiz will return on the 16th March with the specialist subject quiz! Of course the pub will be open as normal on Sunday (as it is every day), so if you just want to come for a drink and socialise (or play a board game or two), then come down and support your local craft beer micro pub! 🍻🍻🍻😉
