Three new ones from two wonderful breweries in Hertfordshire and Cornwall.

- WALLED GARDENS 2023 - Blended from 1, 2 and 3 year old barrel aged spontaneously fermented Golden Ales, and then refermented with Sunny Cot Apricots from the Isle of Wight.

- COUNTRY MILE - Based near Saltash in Cornwall, Ideal Day are a family run brewery on a regenerative farm. Inspired by Belgian Farmhouse traditions but with modern innovation. This particular beer is a fantastic example of their inspiration. A Best Bitter in style inspired by Bathams, Country Mile is loaded with the classic flavours of maltiness and grassy bitterness.

- PATH OF THE SUN - Referred to as a Field Beer, this one is Pale in appearance with complex fruity yeast esters bringing a slight farmhouse character. Crisp and refreshing but with a lovely depth of flavour.

Two fantastic big bois currently in stock from Sheffield's very own top tier
Between smashing out excellent traditional cask ales and modern craft beer, Abbeydale also have their own barrel ageing project on site that produces fantastic funky beers. The two we have here are brilliant examples of that. Perfect to warm your bones as the evenings get chilly, or to give or share this festive season.

- OLD ALE - The second annual release of their Old Ale. We thoroughly enjoyed pairing 2023's version on one of our Cheese nights, and can't wait to have a sip of this one. Two years in the making this iteration is rich, mellow and well balanced. Flavours of Toffee, fruitcake and raisins meet a light dry moodiness from the barrel. Additions of fuggles and Olicana bring a subtle spiciness to the mix. Definitely one to savour, would be beautiful with a strong creamy blue cheese, or vintage Cheddar.

- LAST RITES - Originally brewed by Abbeydale back in 1997, this 11% Barley Wine is smooth, robust and luxurious. Aromas of caramel and candied citrus peel give way to delicate zesty lemon and a hint of spice. A long standing favourite of the brewery, it's the perfect beer to savour and share with friends.

Threw new beauties from our faves including two cheeky festive releases! ๐ŸŽ… Watch out for more in the coming weeks too.

- COCONUT FLORENTINE PASTRY STOUT - Sweet coconut, sticky caramel & dark chocolate all in this deliciously smooth Stout. ๐Ÿ˜‹

- WHITE CHOC STRAWB - This fantastic White Chocolate and Strawberry Sour was one of our favourite Xmas releases of 2023. Fresh Strawberries dipped in sweet white chocolate plus Yonder's signature Sour tartness to balance the sweet flavours. What's not to love?

- TIRAMISU PASTRY STOUT - Taking inspiration from the classic Italian dessert this Pastry Stout delivers everything it promises. Layered with smooth chocolate, dark coffee flavours, soft sponge cake and a touch of vanilla. If you love dessert inspired Stouts this is one not to be missed.

*** MORE XMAS BEER! ๐ŸŽ„ ***

We said the Xmas beer was popping, and we weren't wrong! The always brilliant have set forth their annual Xmas trio into the wild, and it's just as fabulous as ever!

- FAIRYTALE OF NEW YORK - For their seasonal session strength Stout, this year Brew York have hit it with a Florentine Milk Stout. Beautifully rich and smooth from the dark Malt bill, additions of nutty pistachio, and sweet tart cherries bring an extra layer of flavour to this absolute treat of a beer.

- DREAMS OF BREW YORK - Classic wintery flavours of stewed apple and sweet cinnamon make this a lovely warming spiced Fruit Sour. Smooth, sweet and tart in equal measures, this a fantastically balanced beer.

- NIGHTMARE OF BREW YORK - Who doesn't love the word Stroopwaffel? And with this Imperial Stroopwaffel Milk Stout you can say it over and over again when telling your mates how great this beer tastes! Caramel waffel flavour, subtle cinnamon and rich chocolate flavours from the Malt bill.

What a brilliant trio!

*** THEY'VE LANDED! ***

Xmas beers coming out our ears this week. Whilst Xmas may still be a little way away; these will shift fast, so don't miss out!

- LAST CHRISTMAS - How do they get those authentic sweet shop flavours in there? Well for this inspired Sour actual Wham bars were added for that sharp fizzy zingy Raspberry we all remember. Keep it for yourself, or give it to someone special.

- MULLED APPLE SOUR - There's nothing quite like that first mulled drink of Winter! Mulled spices, sweet stewed apple and a tangy sour twist all in one fantastic beer.

- CHOCOLATE STRAWBERRY DUTCH PANCAKES - A favourite snack in Xmas markets around the world. Light fluffy pancake flavours, topped with sweet Strawberries and a dollop of rich chocolate hazelnut spread in a modern Sour beer.

- SNOWBALL - Not the advocaat based drink, but the Raspberry, Coconut and Vanilla Chocolate snack. Fluffy marshmallows dipped in Raspberry Jam and covered in Coconut. Rich, creamy and silky with that classic Vault City tartness cutting through. Watch out for this one on draft too...

- DDF CHURROS - The Big Yin. Rich, decadent Imperial Stout weighing in at a bulky 15%. This full bodied Stout has layers of underlying rich chocolatey flavours topped off with deep fried churros sprinkled with cinnamon and brown sugar.

It's back! The 6th Pangolin Craft Beer Obscure Football Quiz will be taking place on Thursday November 28th. What better way to kick off the festive season than by trying and failing to name the top Lithuanian assist maker from the 1998/99 premier league season?

Those of you who've been before, you know the drill. Those of you who haven't - it's time to make your debut! We'll groan, think and frustrate ourselves on a nostalgic jaunt through 90s premier league trivia, world cup memories, and bizarre and random footballing connections - as well as yet more very dubious haircuts in the picture round...

Our first five football quizzes were booked up in under 24 hours so we'd suggest moving very quickly if you fancy joining us for this one!

๐Ÿ• Thursday 28th November - 7:30pm

๐Ÿ’ฐ ยฃ10 per team to enter, with all fees going to charity

๐Ÿค” Maximum of 6 per team

We've hugely enjoyed the Austrian wines our suppliers have been selecting for us. So when we had space to change up our menu this week Kask introduced us to these beauties from who visited Kask last year.
Based in the Burgenland region of Austria, Weingut Strehn is a family owned Winemakers since the 1980's when the family diversified from traditional mixed farming. As one of the main proponents of Austrian Rosรฉ, Pia Strehn has been a driving force behind its current popularity. In addition to the flagship Rosรฉ, Strehn also produce White and Red Wines, and we're super excited to have one of each to showcase their expertise.

- BLAUFRANKISCH ROSร‰ 2023 - A quite brilliant Rosรฉ fro one of the best in Austria. This is a dry, fresh Rosรฉ. Fruit flavours of red berries, apple and a touch of lime give it a wonderful balance.

- WEISSER SCHOTTER 2022 - A wonderfully clean and refreshing dry White blending 4 grapes including Gruner Veltliner and Welschreisling. Fantastically clean and refreshing with citrussy yuzu, tropical Peach and a lovely minerality in the finish.

- WUNDERLAND ROSLER - The Rosler, or Roesler, grape variety was developed in the 1970's in Austria, but only granted official status as suitable for Red Wine production in Austria as of 2000. This particular offering is an excellent showcase of the grape's deep red fruit aromas, with a hint of spice. If you're a fan of Pinot Noir, be sure to give this one a go!

All available now to drink in by the glass or bottle, and to takeaway by the bottle!

STOUT SEASON! Although there's never the wrong time for Stout, the clocks going back and the longer evenings make this time of year even better to enjoy a Stout. These three new arrivals are three absolute stonkers to get Stouting!

- MINI M*RS - A fun size version of a Vault City classic. Packed to the brim with Chocolate and Caramel goodness but now slightly more sessionable! Chocolate Malt, Vanilla and caramelised brown sugar blend with Cacao Nibs in this beautifully full bodied Stout.

- KONG ISLAND - Fantastically rich and chewy, this Imperial Banoffee Pie Stout is fantastically decadent and indulgent. With banana and toffee plus the addition of a little Peanut twist to make it even better, this is one hell of a beer. Very limited numbers on this one so get yer skates on if you want one!

- CLUSTERS; BLACK FOREST GATEAU - Neon Raptor's signature Clusters Stout series are always excellent, and this is no exception. Packed with rich dark chocolate and sweet, tart cherries it's like a warm hug in a can.

The final three in the Goddess Series are here.

Named after the three Horai (Horae), deities of the seasons and keepers of the gates of heaven. We have Eirene; Goddess of Peace and the Keeper of Spring. Alongside her is Eunomia, Goddess of Good Order and Lawful Conduct, but also known as the Soringtime Goddess of Meadows. Joining those two is D**e or Dice, Goddess of Justice and Fair Judgments and also associated with Springtime growth.

All three of these beers are 6.1% Hazy IPAs but differ by one ingredient in each one. It's up to you to guess! Or try to pressurise Tartarus into giving up their secrets!
