We are a very friendly, independent village shop with National & Regional Awards for Cider and Beer and Community Spirit. We have 2 deli counters filled with cheese, flavoured scotch eggs, ham, pies, pate olives and other deli delights. A great selection of other foods, nibbles, snacks and treat as well as chocolates, gift ware and greeting cards. A visit is a must.

Elspeth, the Founder of Rosebud Preserves grew up in Swaledale and established the family business at Rosebud Farm near Masham.

Exported across the world, these chutneys and preserves are testament to the business philosophy of where products are sourced from, based on tradition and maintain a high quality

Elspeth's formative years as a child growing up in The Dales lives in with her love of nature and the company are associated with The British Hedgehog Society, Butterfly Conservation and The Bumblebee Conservation Trust

The Jug & Bottle has been my passion & my baby for 17 years

Everyone thinks "what a bloody great job surrounded by gin, cakes, pies, wine, beer, gifts, candles, cider, spirits" (me too, sometimes).

We are a very friendly, independent village shop with National & Regional Awards for Cider and Beer and Community Spirit. We have a cafe with yummy treats. We sell draught ale and cider in to take out jugs, have 2 deli counters filled with cheese, flavoured scotch eggs, ham, pies, pate olives and other deli delights. A great selection of other foods, nibbles, snacks and treat as well as chocolates, gift ware and greeting cards. We also offer a bespoke Hamper service. A visit is a must.

To keep that drive and spirit going for 17 years is bloody hard work. The past 5 years have been tough on many levels, personal and economic. Along the way my staff have picked me up and carried me, those current ladies and those past.

I owe everything to my colleagues who keep this shop ship-shape and positive. You all comment on what great staff I have and I totally agree. I am blessed with great ladies!
