Offshore Pilsner by
A bestseller in the shop, Sharps Brewery âOffshoreâ Pilsner was awarded worldâs best larger in 2013, international Bronze in 2019 and Global Beer Masters Bronze 2019. The brewery is located in Rock, just 15 miles from Padstow and just an hour away from the Devon/Cornwall border. The brewery has a taproom and hosts tasting sessions. There is also a shop on site.
Alternatively when in St Ives or Fowey pop into our little shop and pick up a few cans for tasting! đ€€
Offshore is described as a beer that is crisp and light with clean fruity notes. It is a pale straw beer that has a brisk finish and a lovely citrus finish, and pleasant lemon aroma.

Itâs been such a great first week of serving wine by the glass in our Fowey store. Weâve met some cool people and had some laughs!
Thank you to everyone whoâs visited and enjoyed our cobbled together drinking area đ. We will most certainly be refining our offering and developing some more cozy seating space over the winter months so please come back soon âïžđ

We finally managed to get our s%!t together just in the nick of time yesterday in order to serve these lovely ladies some equally lovely wine by the glass in our Fowey store!
Our offering will grow as time goes on but for now you can enjoy a selection of our picks of wines by the glass or a bottle of your choosing from the shelf/fridge, a superb flat white made with Yallah coffee and Trink milk or even a snifter of whisky đ. Sit back and relax while listening to some sumptuous blues and jazz⊠đ

The Antinori family first became involved with the Prunotto winery in 1989 initially handling distribution and then in 1994, when the Colla brothers decided to retire, they took over production upholding the excellent quality standards that Alfredo Prunotto successfully achieved. The winery's production philosophy, always extremely attentive to details and deeply passionate about wine, brought Prunotto and the Antinori family together to face a new challenge: to explore and develop the potential of this new terroir where both local and international varieties can express the area's remarkable territorial identity.

Now, letâs talk âorange wineââŠ
Essentially, a white wine made in more of a red wine fashion, allowing the skins to remain in contact with the juice giving a finished product with the refreshment quality of a white wine but with the complexity and tannins of a red.
This orange wine from Solara is the perfect toe dip into the category. Not too pithy like some of the more advanced O.Ws out there. Beautifully refreshing, with elegant stone fruit flavours rounding off the bitterness from the process.

Can we please get a crowdfunder going for this poor chap? He clearly has a love of top notch booze but gosh darn it just doesnât have it in him to pay for things.
The gentleman in question, letâs name him Cedric, is tall, has chiselled features, seems to be a bit chilly and has impeccable taste.
On this occasion he was unfortunately caught in the act and wasnât able to make off with the bottles of superb gin in his pockets, so he is more than likely going to head for the nearest co op to fulfil his needs. However, Iâm certain bargain booze wonât satiate Cedricâs appetite quite like the premier cru Chablis heâs become accustomed to and heâll be cruising the JOHNS aisles again before you can say Cote de Beaune.
So, please letâs all get together and help by donating to the so we can get him the wine and gin he deserves.
