The refit has given the store a fresh, new look while introducing a wider range of products to cater to diverse needs.
With a focus on creating a more inviting and user-friendly shopping experience, the revamped Brookside Store is now better equipped to serve the local community.

Hi everybody,

Our new opening times are now as below:

Monday - Saturday: 7am to 8pm
Sunday: 7:30am to 7pm

The Post Office opening times remain the same.

Thank you to everyone who attended the opening of the re-fitted Brookside Convenience Store today.

The new owners Vasan, Mahesh and Reuben were excited and really pleased to meet you all and see so many friendly people come in to the shop throughout the day.

The hard work is going to continue for the next few days as the refresh is completed, but the shop is now fully open and we welcome your continued support.

Tracy, Lucia and I would also like to say thankyou to you all and wish Vasan, Mahesh, Reuben and Christina (the new Postmistress) all the very best for the future.

Hi everyone. I am sure you have all noticed the incredible amount of hard work that has been going on in Brookside Convenience Store over the last week to get the refit complete and shop open for you all to start enjoying again. On behalf of the new owners, we can now advise that the official opening of the shop will be on Thursday morning at 10:30, so it would be lovely to see as many of you that can join us, celebrating the start of this new chapter for our lovely village shop. The new owners will be delighted to introduce themselves and show you around the store, so please do try to come along as it would be fabulous to see you there. Hi everyone, thanks for all your kind comments following our announcement a couple of weeks ago.
As you are aware, the new owners will be taking over from Monday so the Post Office will be closed on Monday morning to enable a full Post Office audit and transfer of service. Newspapers will be available from Monday morning and once the Post Office opens on Monday, only Post Office and newspaper services will be available whilst the shop is being refitted.

Hello Everyone.

As many of you will already know, Ami, Tanji, Tracy and I have decided to take a step back from Brookside Convenience Store and Post Office and take one step closer to retirement. It has been a difficult decision as we have really enjoyed serving you all and being at the heart of the village, however being completely honest, we are also really looking forward to the change and the end of early morning shifts. 😊

The new owners will be taking over from the 8th April and consist of 3 partners, all of whom already successfully run a variety of businesses, and so have a wealth of good ideas and changes that they are hoping to introduce. Our lovely existing team will all be staying and supporting the new owners, so you’ll all continue to have that familiarity and continuity throughout the process.

I know we will see many of you over the next couple of weeks and beyond as part of our normal village lives, so we just wanted to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you to all the team at Brookside Convenience Store and Post Office (Holly, Florence, Tori, Jo and Bal) and to all of you for all your fantastic support, guidance, banter and engagement throughout our time here, and hope that you will continue to support the new owners in the same way moving forward.

We wish you and all your families good health and happiness for the future.
