Pasqua 'PassioneSentimento' Passimento Bianco 2022/23 Veneto
Think ‘appassimento’, you'll most likely think Amarone – or other really plush reds. It’s a method of making wine with a portion of dried grapes, concentrating all the flavours and giving it a real richness of texture. But this wine is a little different. For a start, it’s white – and every single part of its production is designed to make it richer and more intensely flavoured. The grapes are left to dry in special racks, concentrating the sugars and aromas. After it’s pressed the wine is left on its skins to make the texture rounded and the flavours bolder. Finally, a portion is aged in oak for added creaminess. No wonder it’s a beast of a wine. Bold. Fruity. Plush. There’s a lovely balance of fresh citrus flavours and apricoty, peachy richness. Delicious with roast chicken.

🩷Mythral Rosé 2023, Côtes de Provence £11.99 mix any six price🩷
The name ‘Mythral’ is an ode to both the myth of this dragon and the Mistral wind that blows through the Provence region. With its light, elegant and aromatic profile, Mythral is everything you want a Provence rosé to be. Celebrating the hallmarks of the south of France landscape – fields of lavender and poppies, Mediterranean Sea, reliable sunshine – the wine is made from vineyards that stretch from the Varois hinterland down to the coast, with altitudes scraping 500m in some cases. Winemaker Noémie Delavigne trained in Champagne and has worked in France’s finest wine regions, now crafting this enchanting bottling with zippy flavours of red berries, white peach and citrus with a mineral finish. It makes for a great aperitif but also try it with shellfish, fresh salads or even chocolate.

🍏🍋Louis Latour Mâcon-Lugny 2022/23 £13.99 mix any six price
We’ve sold this wine for over 30 years – and for that whole time it’s been a bestseller. Why’s it so popular? White Burgundy is a go-to for Chardonnay drinkers, and the Mâconnais in particular offers great value. Unlike the northern Côtes, the southern part of Burgundy doesn’t have a formalised vineyard hierarchy system, so the wines tend to be more wallet-friendly. Not to mention, Lugny is one of the best regarded villages in the Mâcon, and Latour is one of the most famous houses. This is a gently honeyed wine with notes of ripe peach and a crisp finish. Its rounded texture has made it a classic favourite for enjoying with succulent roast chicken or buttery mushroom risotto.

🥃Ardbeg An Ao Islay Single Malt Scotch Whiskey £45🥃
Like the Mull of Oa, it is noticeably rounded. This is due in no small part to a spell spent in Ardbeg’s newly-established Gathering Vat.Within the vat we gather together whiskies from several cask types - including; sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy Virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks, amongst others - where they familiarise themselves with each other. The result is a dram with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. Hallmark Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavour.

If your idea of a good red is velvety-smooth and full of plush fruit, our top-selling Nero Oro is not to be missed. So what makes it so silky-smooth? Creator Stefano Chioccioli uses the appassimento style of winemaking. After picking, his grapes are left to dry out in the warm sun, adding richness and intensity. Dessert wines have been made this way in Sicily for centuries, but the dry Nero Oro is something entirely unique – and you’ll only find it at Majestic. It’s full-bodied with concentrated flavours of cherry, damson and blackcurrant. Its silky texture makes it a great match for aubergine-based pasta.

It's structured yet elegant, making it a wonderful choice for everything from roasted meats, cheese and charcuterie boards, to cosy fireside sipping.

🍋🍏La Toledana Gavi di Gavi DOCG 2021/22 £11.99 mix any six price🍏🍋
Gian Battista Cambiaso planted the very first Cortese vines in Gavi 400 years ago. The dry white wine he produced was the first recorded in the region, and his Castello La Toledana is one of the very few Genoese noble houses still standing today. Bordering the coastal region of Liguria, their Cortese grapes are cooled by sea breezes and develop mouth-watering flavours. Gavi is often called the ‘Chablis of Italy’, and we can see why. Crisp. Fresh. Citrusy. It’s deliciously refreshing and aromatic, with hints of white peach and honey. Unsurprisingly, given where it’s from, Gavi is fantastic with pesto and vegetable dishes.

🍋🍏🍈Oyster Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2023/24, Marlborough £9.99 mix any six price.
Oyster Bay has been an award-winning gold-standard Marlborough Sauvignon since its very first vintage, and it’s only got better and better. It was even formerly named the ‘Best Sauvignon Blanc in the World’ – and they have the name recognition to prove it. It’s really no surprise then that their Sauvignon is textbook Marlborough. Big. Fruity. Tropical. To say it’s mouth-wateringly refreshing is an understatement – the smell of gooseberries and lime will hit you the minute you unscrew the bottle. It’s really versatile – delicious as a glassful on sofa, for parties or with a flaky goat’s cheese tart. In 2022, this wine won an IWC award for the 2021 vintage.

Rosa Blanca, a traditional independent brewery, was founded in Mallorca in 1927. The island’s tourist boom in the 1960s attracted large international brewers that sadly Rosa Blanca could not compete with and it went out of business. Barcelona-based Damm brewery revived the brand in 2018 and it has since become one of the most beloved beers in the Balearics. It’s set to be a new favourite in the UK thanks to its toasty and creamy character. Pale gold in colour, you can expect refreshing notes of citrus, stone fruits and a light, malty sweetness with a soft bitterness.
