Following the success of our Christmas whisky tasting we will be hosting another one ahead of Father’s Day weekend, showcasing a selection of whiskies from around the world.
As before we will hold the event at our neighbours venue @offbeet_southsea and @bekkyharrison will be hosting this event for us, sharing her excellent knowledge and passion for whiskies from around the world, she has picked out a great selection of 6 for you to try.
The tasting event will take place on Friday 14th June at 6pm. The event will be charged at £35 per person payable in store at Wines by the Sea or details can be sent for a BACS payment.
This is the perfect gift for a Dad who enjoys whisky or a great event if you want to learn more about whiskies from around the world. There are only a limited amount of places so be quick with booking. Message to book!

An incredible second day here, we went to St-Emilion to explore the little town and visit Haut Rocher @chateauhautrocher for a tour and private tasting.
The town has more wine shops than anything else, every other shop sells wine. It’s beautifully cobbled streets and hundreds of year old stone buildings are just beautiful. We stopped at a lovely wine bar to have a glass of something special from their list. I went for a Chablis and it was delicious!
Jerome at Haut Rocher told us all about his harvest and vinification techniques as part of his tour and then we were able to try the St Emilion Grand Cru which was lovely.
We had dinner back in Les Chartrons where we are staying in Bordeaux at La Carre which served a variety of traditional French food and some lovely wines too!
An amazing first day in Bordeaux visiting Chateau La Tuilerie Du Puy @chateaulatuileriedupuy with our wonderful host and owner Michaël. The chateau has been in his family as far back as 1616 according to documentation but perhaps even longer. It’s in a beautiful setting around 20 minutes from La Reolé by car.
We were able to taste the freshly harvested wines and try and create our own blend. In the cellar we saw Cabernet Sauvignon being added to the barrels ready for aging and found vintages closest to our years of birth.
We were then treated to a tasting experience of all the whites they produce and a workers lunch with some of the reds, finishing it all with an alcohol soaked plum and a glass of rosé. The perfect day!

Had a great day yesterday in London with Lisa @winedineroam at both @walkerwodehouse the Boot & The Cape tasting @thelistingbar.london and then @winegb held at @batterseaartscentre
Got to try some lovely Italian and South Africa wines, learnt to make pasta, met @bubblesferreira and saw some familiar faces at WineGB. The wines were wonderful and so nice to see @roebuckestates @balfourwinery @hambledon_vineyard @lymebaywinery and many others!
