Good evening to all our customers at Elburton news.
As you are now aware Newsteam will be taking over deliveries from next weekend. This was not a decision that was taken lightly, nor was it something that has been planned, it completely came out of the blue. You may be aware my parents who deal with most of the business needs are both in thier 70's and I myself have stepped away from the business for my own reasons. We were approached by Newsteam and after some long and hard discussions we made the tough decision that it's time for us to let the paper rounds go. Nothing was finalised until last week. We have informed both customers and our amazing delivery team as soon as we were able to. We would like to thank everyone for thier loyalty over the past 11 years you don't know how much we have enjoy being part of the village (mum having been the postmistress prior).
We are still open for over the counter sales and to answer any questions you may have. If we don't know the answer we will get back to you with an answer to hopefully aid a smooth transition. Newsteam have given 3 weeks free delivery to all customers to aid in this transition.
