For anyone that still has a can of this, some information for you just in case
đź“ŁPRODUCT RECALL - OVER THE MOONđź“Ł
It is with much regret that we are issuing a product recall of a batch of Over The Moon, following reports that a small number of cans have burst over the past week. This is due to a build up of pressure in the can post packaging from some additional re fermentation which we had not allowed for. We have fully tested the beer and there is no health risk to anyone who may have consumed the beer.
Despite this seeming to only be affecting a small proportion of the cans due, to the potential risk we have taken the decision that the prudent thing to do is withdraw and recall this product. The cans in question were packaged on 8th October 2024, with batch code (gyle) 705 and BB 09/10/25 printed on the base of each can.
This is the first instance that we have had to recall any of our beers and we are devastated that despite the high standards we set ourselves in everything we do, such a problem has occurred. We would like to apologise to anyone that may have experienced any issues relating to the problems that have affected these cans and we have started a full investigation so we can learn from this and do our utmost to ensure it never happens again.
