Just in case our wonderful customers and followers are not aware, our collection jar on our counter is for the boys and girls who volunteer on the Lifeboat.
Whatever gets put in the jar pays for them to have a night out, a Christmas party, bbq on the beach for them and their families or even just breakfast baps after a long shout.

I have just spent the last 3 hours working on the bus times summary for the off season starting tomorrow.

The new summary will be on the website from tomorrow morning, when it starts, and in the shop window.

Once again, there is no direct St Just bus.

Bus times change again, this time to peak season, hourly. Sunday remains a two hourly, erm, service.

Oops, didn't update bus times for today. Many apologies. It caught me unawares having changed for the second time in a week. Already set one lady wrong this morning before I remembered. I'll be on it dreckly... probably a little less dreckly than the bus company changing the one at the bus stop.
We're on mid season now by the way.

Bus times change to 'peak season' for just one week from tomorrow, Sunday 26th. Hourly service but still 2 hourly on Sunday because no one wants to travel on a Sunday.

Well, that didn't last long. Strawberries just went up a quid a punnet. Still have strawberries and Trewithen strawberry and clotted cream yoghurt but completely out of fanfares.

Coming to an Old Boathouse Stores near you soon...

Trewithen Diary's new strawberry and clotted cream yoghurt. For the launch we will be selling the tubs alongside a punnet of fresh strawberries.

The new Greek style yoghurt has already been given one regular buyer's commendation, so be the first to sample the new brew.

All change on the bus timetable front. We slide back to a bus every two hours from tomorrow on the new, improved 'low season' schedule. I have made downloadable versions of all three available on the website Old-Boathouse.com and will update the page tomorrow.

The new bus timetable is in operation. The team at First Bus have been very creative this year and made it even more complicated than ever. There are different timetables for low, mid and peak season and they will change 4 times this year.

To take the edge off a bit I have updated the summary on the website to show key stops on our routes. I have used The Cove for Sennen but there is just 5mins + or - for up top.

First, thank you all for your kind comments.

So, after the not so grand opening, we will be closing again courtesy of National Grid. The infrastructure in The Cove is being replaced and it will be our turn to go off.

Sadly, beyond our control we will be closed all day Wednesday 27th March.

Back again on Thursday, if they finish on time.

We really wanted to make an impact for our shop opening this year, so we thought we'd chose a day with a gale of wind and lashing rain.

Job done. Open for the rest of the season until early November, mainly 8:30 to 6pm.

We even have a roof, mainly.

Very sorry all that we could not live stream Carols in the Cove tonight. We seem to have problems with the uplink and need a six year old to show us how it's done.

In the meanwhile I will try and add a very short video I took firing When a Child is Born - not literally, just the song.
