🔝🎶VENUS VINYL OF THE MONTH - NOVEMBER🎶🔝

This one cuts deep... The surprise fifth and final album from one of our all-time favourite bands. Band leader, Gared O’Donnell, tragically passed away in late 2021. His death was felt around the world by many - for no one is merely a ‘fan’ of Planes Mistaken for Stars but a laminated life-time member - such is their powerful force and gravity (Gared’s passing possessed me to get my first ever tattoo of their iconic logo - branded with the band’s beliefs and worn as a badge of honour). Do You Still Love Me? is a rollercoaster of a listen - weaving its way through hard-hitting and heavy tough-topics played as ever with their unrelenting energy; as well as several nods to their earlier sonic incarnations (including some vintage Deep Elm Records motifs), as well as unexpected new turns (see the Slowdive-esque number ‘Modern Logic’). It’s the perfect farewell for forever fans, as well as being a perfect place to start with what will be your new favourite band!

R.I.P Gared, we ride to fight with thunder in the night forever, brother! You may be gone but you will never be forgotten - and your music will live on forever x

🌜🔴COLOUR 15th ANNIVERSARY ANTHOLOGY🔴🌛

This one’s a special one to me personally… I’d even go as far as to say that I’m over the moon about it!

Colour were one of the most important and brilliant British emo math-rock bands to exist something they becomes more apparent with time.

This complete Anthology of their musical works has long been out of print. But to celebrate 15 years, Big Scary Monsters have thankfully re-issued it - this time with a wonderful additional lyrics & photo booklet zine.

I was lucky enough to be in a band at the time that got to play shows with Colour back in the day and they’ve always been a special band to me. And nice to see us named in the booklet too ❤️

Looking back on the photos has been a proper trip down memory lane and it’s so amazing to see so many old pals and bands in the pics as well!

Big love to the Colour crew & so good to spot the likes of .t.manville & .fossils & great job as ever by 🤘

Memories, bloody hell!

If you know Colour already then you’ll know how amazing they are & if you don’t have this then what you waiting for? But if you don’t know them - you’re in for a treat!
