November Food Events at VandB!

23/11: 🍷 🍴Le Beaujolais Nouveau Est Arrivé: Boeuf Bourguignon. We can’t wait to celebrate the arrival of this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau with a fun-filled evening à la française! For one night only, you can enjoy a delicious Boeuf Bourguignon right here - just pre-book your portion either in-store on eventbrite, then rock up, grab a table and enjoy. Boeuf Bourguignon is a staple in our house, and we can’t wait to share it with you all here in Northampton. So if you’re a fan of tender pieces of beef, slow cooked in red wine with lots of herbs and veggies - then this isn’t one to miss! There’ll also be free tastings of Beaujolais in-store, and the great DJ will be on the decks.

05/12: 🎄 🍷 Christmas Tapas & Wine Pairing. Tickets for this event are already selling fast, so we’ve included it in this month’s list of events. We are so excited to welcome back award-winning chef, , for an evening of delicious festive flavour. Danny will be transforming our upstairs space into a restaurant for this exclusive pop-up, and head wine-maker from - Hugues Laborde - will be pouring and explaining a perfectly paired wine for each dish. We’ve got lots going on this weekend - tonight we’re joined by for our cider tasting masterclass, then tomorrow will be kicking off our Oktoberfest celebrations as he serves up some delicious Bratwurst Dogs ( + a veggie version) - available from 5. And there’ll be 3 special Oktoberfest beers available on draught from tomorrow. Then on Sunday we have the fundraiser taking place upstairs from 5pm.

The weekend is finally here - and it’s set to be a busy one!

Tonight we’ve got on the decks from 6 for an al fresco DJ set, then tomorrow come and enjoy the arrival of the Tour of Britain cycle race, ending here in Northampton town at around 2.30. We’ll be showing the race on the big screen upstairs from 11 - so come and support the cyclists, and try and spot your house. Then we’ve got the great DJing on the terrace tomorrow night from 6. And to top it all off - you can enjoy 2024 this Sunday where we’ll be hosting the acoustic stage out on the front!

10/09: 🍰 The Pudding Hole. The tasty twosome behind are back for a night of retro classics. Those lucky enough to have grabbed a ticket can expect a night of old school favourites, accompanied by our delicious drinks menu. Keep your eyes peeled for more pudding hole pop ups coming soon 👀
21/09: 🍕 Food Truck: Nonna Lucia’s. will be back on our terrace with their amazing pizza. Fresh, authentic, Italian, handmade, delicious - what more could you want? A DJ? No problem! .p.1 will be on the decks and bringing the hip hop, soul, funk and beats. Perfect Saturday night.
29/09: 🫓 🍺 Crêpes and Cider. We can’t wait to be joined by who will be bringing with them the most delicious crêpes and galettes to our terrace. Sweet or savoury? The choice is yours. And we’ll be putting some beautiful French cider behind the bar for you to enjoy - because if you’ve not tried it before, crêpes and cider really is a dream combination!

We’ve loved having Fashion Bake over the years - and as you can see they’ve become really good friends of ours, so we want to send them out with a bang! We’ve got a new toy - and some good news!

Tomorrow we’re taking our new dual tap beer dispenser down to London where it’ll be serving some tasty refreshments to those supporting and participating in the 2024. Mudgirl is a 5KM race, with 17 obstacles and lots (and lots) of mud - uniting and empowering women, and raising money in the fight against breast cancer.

We’re delighted to be a part of it, and think it’ll be great to get a team of us NN ladies taking part in the run next year!

Heads up!

We’ve still got a few spaces left for our ‘meet the winemaker’ masterclass this Friday night. Julio Bastias is the Head Winemaker at the Matetic vineyards and will be giving us a taste of a range of wines from his vineyards in the Rosario Valley. Learn about the grapes he uses, how he grows them, his unique terroir and how he makes his delicious wine.

There is no better way to learn about a wine than through the person who gets it from grape to bottle, and we can’t wait to welcome Julio to Northampton. Tickets are £25 per person and are available in store or on eventbrite. See you Friday! 🍷

This Sunday is our first Sunday Sessions live music event. We’re really excited to be welcoming Russell Heyworth to our upstairs room as he’ll be strumming away those Sunday blues with a live acoustic set.
