Handed the keys back today after celebrating 25 years on Zetland Street, Northallerton .

Wanted to extend my gratitude and thanks to a few very important people .

Firstly to Norman Haider who had the shop before me , a man worked extremely hard for his family . He was such a talented man and someone i thought very highly of . His work ethic was second to none. It would put most people to shame .❤️

A massive thankyou to Tom Taylor who without his support i would never have had the opportunity to have my own business .
For his patience and kindness that i'm sure he thought would be never ending and in some cases even finish him off.
For the endless cash and carry runs with my Dad and thousands of hours worked in the shop.
I can't thank him enough.❤️

My Mam & Dad who loved working the shop .
And supported me always . I can still hear Mam saying to people "she said she'd only be 5 mins!!!!"
And the phonecall she made to me in Latvia to ask how much a Mars Bar was? 🙄🤣🤣🤣❤️

To Peter Gibson the first fellow that came to help in the shop . A real gentlemen , someone who could be relied upon and someone i remember fondly . ❤️

To Jan Minto who always brought laughter and something refreshing to your day .❤️

To Sam Green who over many many years has supported me and stepped in at many a last minute . ❤️

To all the shopkeepers in Zetland Street that work blooming hard, for their camararderie .

To Steven Cowley from Cowley Cycles who appeared from nowhere one day and just became a breath of fresh air . I'd like to say i've left before i broke him as his work load with me around could be hectic.
What can i say he's handy!!!!.
And a Very Good Egg.🤣🤣🤣❤️

To Andrew and Mam for working tirelessly the last 3 days to get the shop emptied. Couldnt have done it without you both.❤️
Nearly killed us !!!!
And i can safely say the hardest ive worked in all the 25 years !!!!🤣🤣🤣

Up until the Second World War, dark beer was the predominant beer type in the Munich area. The hard water found in the region played a special role in producing this specialty. In his book “Beer International”, the world-renowned English beer writer, Michael Jackson, accurately describes the Ayinger “Altbairisch Dunkel” as: “A good example of its kind. Impenetrably dark with a golden-brown gleam when held up to the light, and with a warm aroma and malty taste, while summoning up coffee taste sensations on going down. It is brewed from five types of malt (two of which are torrified dark), and it is only lightly hopped.” It is produced using the traditional double fermentation process.
