As many of you know I dabble with playing a touch of rugby for Bangor Rugby Club, well between injuries (and hangovers)! They are currently fundraising to help build a new amazing clubhouse that will support the local community and the North Downs Women’s Rugby teams as well as the Men’s and Children’s! EXTENSION UPDATE!

We have launched our “Buy a brick” scheme to aid in raising a £100,000 shortfall in funding and we need your help!

Bangor Rugby Football and Cricket Club have embarked on an exciting stage of the Club’s journey with planning submitted for significant works to upgrade the Clubhouse, and are now looking to embark on the Club’s first major fundraising initiative in over 25 years with the launch of their “Buy a Brick” scheme.

The Club are appealing to all members and supporters to engage and help raise the target of £100,000 to cover the shortfall in funding needed to deliver their fantastic upgraded facility which will provide new changing facilities and better accessibility including the introduction of a lift.

Giving a bit of support for Bangor RFC this weekend with their playoff game! Come on Boys! 🔵🟡

💪HERE WE GO💪 ⚠️PLEASE READ FULL POST⚠️

Busy Day ahead at UP as we look forward to the AIL play off game on 27th April when our 1st XV will host as we strive to retain our position in 2C🥵

A big crowd is expected on the day and we would encourage everyone to get along on the day to cheer the squad on🤩

🍽️ There is a sold out pre match lunch being hosted by President Drew Kennedy upstairs with another full house in attendance for the last senior rugby match of his Presidency.

🍕 To help cater we will have van serving fresh pizza during and after the game along with the coffee cart ☕️ from pre kick off. Our P7 mini rugby parents will also be firing up the bbq and as a tour fundraiser. 🍗

🍻 The downstairs bar will be open serving £5 take away pints of Harp and Guinness during the afternoon, anyone looking to use the membership card for discount should head to the upstairs bar. We will have music from from 5:30pm-7:30pm 🎶

💰 There will be a £5 charge into the game with members and u18s getting in for free. Members will need to show their membership cards to avoid being charged! Payment will be available by cash and card.

⚠️ Also a final call for any paid up members to collect their membership cards from the bar, these will be needed in the upstairs bar to avail of the discounted bar prices and without them you’ll pay full price.

⚠️⚠️ Please be aware the PSNI will be around the club on Saturday, any illegal parking will lead to a fine! Please be considerate and cautious to our neighbours around the club and those using footpaths!

💙💛We can’t wait for Saturday and we hope you will come and support one of our biggest matches to date!
