For this year’s tasting, we will be showing our Christmas selection of over 40 wines, from Champagne to Port and everything else in between, to help make sure you are covered for the festive period.

This year’s event will be held in the Derby Room at the Bedford Lodge and the team from Corney & Barrow East Anglia will all be on hand throughout the evening to guide and help you whether you’re seeking a special bottle for Christmas Day, gifts to be sent or something to party with!

We’re taking part in the Newmarket Sausage Festival celebrations!

Our fantastic staff have carefully selected two superb wines to accompany a variety of sausage dishes, available in store at a special discounted price during the Festival week, 26th October until 3rd November.

Corney & Barrow Company Reserve, Maison Sichel, £15.30

A decadent aged oak Company Reserve claret delivers immediate enjoyment. This is a full-bodied Bordeaux from the brilliant 2019 vintage, combining wild raspberry and blackcurrant flavours with sprightly acidity.
This wine would match very well with a variety of sausage dishes particularly the hearty and wholesome dishes such as sausage and mash.

Corney & Barrow White Burgundy, Mâcon-Villages, Maison Auvigue £17.50

A white Burgundy is pale lemon in colour with the nose surprisingly full showing ripe stone fruit, mixed with almond and marzipan. The palate is elegant, with ripe orchard fruit and a gentle creamy texture balanced by a characteristic freshness.
This stunning wine lends itself to accompany the more subtle sausage dishes, including those with added spice.

It’s Bordeaux Wine Month!

During the month of September, 115 dynamic independent retailers across the UK, including Corney & Barrow, are taking part in Bordeaux Wine Month to help you discover their range of delicious Bordeaux wines!

This is a fantastic opportunity to taste the diversity of the Bordeaux region, such as these fantastic selections pictured.

We will also be hosting a Bordeaux dinner night this month in collaboration with Newmarket’s very own Tack Room restaurant, to indulge in carefully selected food and wine pairings and discover excellent value wines for you to take home!
