Let us introduce you to our lovely trio: Molly, Karen and Freya! 👋

Mum Karen has been a Waitrose Partner for an incredible 27 years, becoming a manager at just 19 years of age.
In recent years, both of Karen's daughters, Molly and Freya, have started working for Waitrose but they are not the only family members who have worked within the John Lewis Partnership...
Karen’s dad dedicated 40 years to the Partnership, and her mum, brother, husband, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law have all worked in the Partnership too!

Fun fact: Karen actually met her husband while they were both working at Waitrose Caterham! So, it’s no surprise that her girls followed in her footsteps! 💚

Here’s to you, Karen, and to all the amazing mums out there! Have a fabulous day! 💐

Meet Kirsty, Katie & Ben👋

Kirsty joined the partnership 12 years ago, spending the last 9 of them at Waitrose Locks Heath. Kirsty is a proud mum to two amazing children, Katie and Ben who are both partners! Katie is gearing up for her own adventure with team leader training at another Waitrose branch, while Ben, currently tackling A levels, works evenings alongside Kirsty part-time on the meat and fish counter. 🐟

Kirsty loves working with her son and Ben enjoys the free lifts home! 🚗

Meet Donna & her youngest son, Ollie. With an incredible 26 years as a Partner under her belt, Donna has been working with Ollie since October 2024. However, the family fun doesn’t stop there! Donna also teams up with her two older sons, and even her twin stepdaughters, who joined the action during Christmas. What a family affair! 🥳

It makes everyone laugh when Ollie wants to speak to Donna via the headset, as he is never sure if he should call her “Mum” or “Donna”, so he goes for “Mum Donna, Donna Mum”! 😂

This week, we’re buzzing with excitement as we celebrate Mother’s Day with some heartwarming stories from our incredible Waitrose family! 💐

Meet dynamic duo, Jannette and Hannah, who are the stars of the night shift at Waitrose Oakgrove. Jannette, our fearless team leader, keeps everything running like a well-oiled machine, while Hannah, now six years into her Waitrose journey, adds a delightful dose of fun!

On one unforgettable Mother’s Day shift, Hannah was stacking cereal boxes when she spotted Jannette walking past. With a mischievous grin, she grabbed the tannoy and announced, “Attention all staff, let’s take a moment to appreciate our fearless leader and my lovely mum, Jannette! Happy Mother’s Day!” 💚

Jannette, mid-sip of her tea, nearly choked. The entire twilight team erupted into cheers👏

She shook her head, amused. “You’re lucky I can’t fire you.” 😂

Later, as they finished their shift, Hannah handed her a small chocolate bar. “For the best mum and team leader.” 🍫

Jannette smiled, giving her a side hug. “Happy to have you on my team… even if you are a menace.” 🥰

And just like that, they clocked out—an unstoppable mother-daughter duo! 💚
