I Know that many of our regular customers are already aware that for the past few weeks we have been considering closing the shop.

There are a number of reasons that we have been considering this. Increasing costs of running the business coupled with several of our suppliers have closed down making it difficult to keep the products that we offer consistent. Added to this long term health issues and the knock on effects of losing footfall in part I think due to the closure of other businesses have made it difficult to go on where we are.

We are still considering our options for the future and whether to move the shop to a new location, but we are taking a few weeks off first to have a break while we make the decision.

We will be open on the following dates:

Friday 5th
Monday 8th
Tuesday 9th
Wednesday 10th
Thursday 11th
Friday 12th will be the last day of trading at our current location.

Thank you for all your support the past year and a half, we have really enjoyed serving you all.

What do you do with your used tea leaves?

I am a tea drinker through and through, its one of the things I will splash out on. I love to buy really good quality tea's and enjoy trying new varieties.

Did you know that there are lots of uses for your teas after you have used them to make a brew.

They can be used:
- in recipes, to add depth of flavour similar to how you might used herbs.
- dry them and use a deodoriser around the home
- as a cosmetic, white tea extract is often used in skincare.
- In crafting and art, to add scents to candles or as a stain when drawing or dying fabric.
- to infuse in beverages such as gin; or you can use fruit teas to infuse cold water to make a sugar free cordial alternative.
- When you have got as much use out of the tea as you can they can still be composted and provide essential nutrients for your garden.
