The cherry on the top of the G1 chassis is the bespoke damper developed in collaboration with to deliver a hand-made in Italy V4 Storia G1 🤌🏼 The V4 unit has received a number of upgrades.

Following their implementation in the first G1 Storia V3, the V4 now features spherical eyelet bearings in both eyelets, reducing stress on the shock during high load moments, improving eyelet bearing performance and longevity. This results in smoother, more sensitive suspension movement and less maintenance compared to conventional DU & Pin eyelet hardware.

A new addition to the Storia V4 is position-sensitive rebound, with a secondary piston providing a hydraulic top-out stop. This replaces the internal coil negative spring in the V3 Storia.

As with previous models, the Storia V4 allows adjustments to high and low-speed compression, rebound, and now includes adjustment of the hydraulic bottom-out circuit. Plus, true to the Storia range, it’s equipped with the LOK lever for precise tuning.

EXT is now offering an extended 5-year warranty on the Storia V4. This warranty covers the damper for up to five years from the purchase date, giving you peace of mind and long-lasting performance. To activate the warranty, customers simply need to register their damper on EXT’s website within 30 days of purchase. The program ensures that your damper remains in top condition with expert support and service.

Finally, our G1 Storia V4 dampers are available in three sizes: The standard Enduro spec 230x65mm 162/175mm RWT, the XC/trail spec 210x55mm 140/152mm, and the long travel DH spec 250x75mm 185/200mm . So if you want to take your G1 down to 140mm or up to 200mm RWT you can equip it with the G1 Storia V4 🙌🏼.

Alexander’s custom powder-coated GeoMetron G1 in size XXL arrived with him just in time for the festive break, and he wasted no time getting it built up. With the stunning mountains of Colorado as his backdrop, he headed straight to his local trails, where the bike settled into the remote singletrack with ease.

There's no way of hiding it, at 200cm tall Alexander's bike is BIG 535mm reach and 480mm Chain stays, he's rolling on 29" wheels front and rear with 170mm travel. After over a decade of riding that now fits him correctly.

We're looking forward to seeing where Alexander and his G1 end up this year with new bike stoke pulling him through the winter miles his riding is sure to reach new heights ⛰️

At GeoMetron, we’re all about pulling in the serious bike tinkerers. We draw in many riders who want to dial in their bike's geometry, tweak every little detail, and get it dialed for their exact needs. That’s why we’re stoked to have the G1, which gives you insane flexibility to adapt your setup. Here’s a solid example of a client who proudly wears the badge of top-tier tinkerer.

Check out this G1, custom built to perfection via our tailor made frame process where you can choose specific changes to your bikes tubes and geometry. It's a size Medium base with custom tweaks to the head tube and seat tube length. Plus, it still keeps the full GeoMetron mutator range, so if they want to dial in the geometry even further they have adjustable components at the chain stay and seat stay to make a multitude of incremental changes.

Yep that right, custom frames are back on the menu with the 2025 G1 frame set. Upcharge of £520.83 plus VAT. For all Tailor Made Frame enquiries email us directly on [email protected] and we'll make it happen 🪄

This build spec and colour way is a reflection of Mel's riding style too. He goes hard with style!

He's configured his G1 medium frame with 200mm travel front and rear fitting the dual crowns up front and a 250mm damper at the rear. It's got a mullet rear wheel and long chain stays. Check out his content to see it rip.

Geometron Owners Ride 📢 17th November:

Meet at 10am in Forest of Dean Cycle Centre car park.

We plan to head off for a mystery tour and aim to go back to the cafe for about 2pm. Be prepared for 20-25 miles and 3000ish ft climbing with a cake stop mid ride. We'll start with some of the trail centre trails and then head off into the wild FOD back country for some natural off-piste runs.

*Dust not guaranteed as teased on the poster.

This is a social ride so the trail choice and pace will be tuned as we go to keep the stoke high and the group together, all of our lovely crew look out for one another so nobody will be left behind. Emphasis is on having fun and spending time with other like-minded riders, please ride within your limits, the trail centre trails are accessible to all and should you make the choice to head down the off piste trails we can only advise that you ride what you're comfortable with and make sure to ask your fellow riders to give fair warning before any tricky features. There are options to bail out at any point in the ride with easy access back to the trail centre carpark. Bring everything you'd usually need for a ride including a jacket, spares, food, water, whatever you need to be self-sufficient.

Non-owners welcome too: If your riding buddies haven't listened to your indoctrination then feel free to invite them along to hear someone else's reasons why they should see the light and jump on a GeoMetron.

See you there! If you have any questions give us a shout via the Owners Group on Facebook.

Hot out of the work stand @ GeoMetron HQ; here's new custom G-One

Jamie pulled out all the stops on this build to bring together his ultimate "valleys" spec bike. Details below 👇🏼.

After spending 4 years on board an original G1 he knew exactly what he was looking for with this new build. This bike didn't stay this fresh for very long, it was immediately taken out into the south Wales valleys for a typical wet and slippery shakedown. The New bike stoke will carry him through the winter that lays ahead of us here in the UK. A little about Jamie and what he rides, Jamie is a valleys enigma frankly, you'll find him on the top of a steep sided valley riding steep tech or at a corner shop below searching for haribo to fuel a big elevation climbing day.

⚪Frame: Size Small finished in the beautiful Bronze anodisation paired with a natural anodised/Silver Extra love it.
⚪Configuration: 29" wheels F/R, stock mutator set up, 170mm FWT and 175mm RWT.
⚪Suspension: EXT ERA V2.1 & EXT Storia V4 G1 spec with spherical eyelet bearings.
⚪Wheels: Hubs laced by our terrific wheel builder onto Synthesis enduro alloy rims.
⚪Tyres: Argotal 2.4" DH super soft front and Kryptotal 2.4" DH soft rear.
⚪ Brakes: Cura 4 Polishes with the 2 piece lever upgrade and mix-master cockpit tidies. 203mm rotor front and 180mm rear.
⚪ Bars: Fatbar carbon.
⚪ Drivetrain: Evo cranks 170mm paired with a 32t spiderleas oval chainring. Mix and match XX1 rainbow cassette & GX combination mech, chain and shifter.
⚪ Dropper: Revive 213mm and triggy remote.

We couldn't be more stoked about how this build turned out, and we're looking forward to seeing where this rig takes Jamie over the next 4 years and beyond.

Raw on raw, looks fast stood still! John's build embodies the perfect blend of style and performance, the Raw Aluminium G1 2025 finished with silver anodised extra love parts speaks volumes, highlighting the engineering and sleek design effortlessly. Plus the raw aluminium finish is the most robust and will look like new years down the line after a quick buff with a scotch bright pad!

We're flexible when it comes to built options, John chose his dream spec of new components and then chose to carry over a few other parts from his previous bike. We tuned his G1 spherical V4 Storia specifically for his weight and riding style and up front he opted for the ERA LT 180mm travel fork. For the drivetrain a SRAM eagle mechanical set up paired with a EVO 155mm crankset. The little mounting bracket beneath the shock lever is a bottle cage mount that is compatible with the YT thirstmaster 2000 which allows you to carry 475ml of hydration to wet the whistle.

It's safe to say John has one solid chassis here that will take on anything in the mountains 🌄

Here's new G1 build, the cheat code to her riding faster and smoother 💃🏼

Amy has been bedding in her new G1 on all sorts of trails in South Wales over the past few weeks, including a day of party laps . It's safe to say she's gelled with the new ride characteristics of the G1.

Her sweet new ride is running Mullet wheelsize and set up with 170mm FWT and 175mm RWT.
Here's some of the components built onto her G1: Shock of choice for fun laps on jumps and flow is the Aria. 471 rims chosen for their weight and narrower internal rim diamer and laced to the bombproof P5 hubs.
Cura 4 brakes.
finishing kit.
revive Dropper post.
GeoMetron Water bottle bracket with the YT thirstmaster 2000 fitted.

We're looking forward to seeing where Amy and her G1 go next 🤘🏼

A balanced geometry, tweaked suspension system and multiple small refinements could most certainly be considered a cheat code when a rider is able to engage with the bike and trail with more confidence and composure. If you have any questions about our sizing, geometry or kinematics feel free to ask.

We've got some fresh builds coming together in the workshop this week 💚. The recognisable pallet wood walls of our workshop have had the all new production G1 frames displayed in front of them as we begin to assemble and dial in the configuration for our lucky first batch customers.

This G1 frame bundle is heading over to in Ireland 🇮🇪. He's not shy when it comes to throwing the bike around and pulling some mad shapes. We're looking forward to seeing what he gets up to on board this fresh vessel 🔥

Here are some of the frame details on the new G1. We don't only sweat the details of the geometry numbers we like to sweat over the frame hardware details. The G1 is now easier to live with and more practical to maintain.

- Integrated seat clamp & gusset flows beautifully with the new design language and low profile top tube.

- New chain stay protector made up of two pieces. A hard plastic base mounted on the chainstay and replaceable rubber inserts that glue into place on the plastic base.

- New Rear Aligning drop-out aka RADO. The RADO is an instrumental tool designed into all Nicolai frames which allows fine tuning of the frames alignment in its final stage of assembly ensuring the frame leaves the factory 100% true. The RADO has now been redesigned to accomodate universal derailleur hangers or T-Type drive train systems.

- increased tyre clearance on the chainstay and seat stay.

- Cable routing & cable security is improved on both sides of the chainstay for secure gear cable and brake hose routing. The G1 has completely external brake and gear cable routing which makes mechanicals out in the wild less stressful and easier to fix (Sam is pretty proud of his complete front and rear brake change in 10 minutes).

Here's a little update: We've been rather busy down here in the Wye valley recently. We're eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first batch of production 2025 G1 frames. We're very excited to see them out on the trails with our customers dotted all around the world. We're going to be dispatching frames to the USA, Canada, Australia and of course here on UK soil.

Finally if you're interested in purchasing a new G1, we're going to be receiving our new demo bikes too. If you'd like to try one please get in touch to arrange a one to one demo ride.

Built on a rock-solid, trail-proven chassis, this beast is now more balanced and adjustable than ever.

The G1's adjustment range needn't be daunting. Owning a G1 can be as simple or as complicated as you like. Whether you like to adjust something Every-Single-Ride or if you just want to hop on your bike and ride the same settings without a worry until it's service time, the G1 can be configured to make you smile while you're out on the trail. Get ready for a ride that inspires confidence season after season.

Dive into the details on our website where you'll find our mutation chart which shows the G1's Geometry and sizing proportions and the bikes adjustment range in each configuration.

📢 Heads up Gen 1/OG- G1 riders, the Gen 2 G1 rear triangle updates are retrofit-able to the Gen 1 front triangle.

It's that time of year again, spring time bike stoke percolates through the winter grime and dark damp weather blues.

Here in the Wye valley the bluebells are a sign of imminent good times on two wheels as the violet blanket is thrown over our local trails.

With that our service department also gets busy, a change in season is a timely reminder for an interval service as the winter miles you GeoMetron riders have put down in the anticipation of summer smiles takes its toll.

The service life of our frames are exceptionally long lasting, but a routine check never hurts while the routine maintenance of the suspension parts is required. To ensure consistent optimal performance and the highest levels of bike stoke it's important to have your suspension taken care of, the high performance units get subject to quite a lot of action in a range of conditions, particularly harsh here in the UK.

FYI, For your average rider riding 2-3 times a week we'd suggest a full damper service both fork and shock once a year and an interval lower leg fork service around the 6 months mark.

Pictured is Richard's G1 which has just had its first service at the 1 year mark. We also treated his ERA to a V2.1 internal upgrade.

For service enquiries, workshop lead time or costs please get in touch via our website, email or by phone 🤳🏼.
