Hi everyone
Just a heads up that we have a date for next year’s run - so please save it to your diaries.
Sunday 11th May 2025
We hope to see you all back on the island, so please spread the word, bring your friends, and let them know what a fun day we had.
With your effort, help and generosity, we managed to donate £2408 to Parkinson’s Scotland, and £2408 to Alzheimer’s, for which they are very grateful.
Thank you all again and we hope to see everyone next year.

Due to an intermittent issue with the PO phone line (which the computer connects into), we are having issues connecting our PO equipment to the servers. We may therefore not be able to complete any transactions until later on Friday, once an engineer has visited.

Please don’t do this to your stamps. The recipient will be asked to pay a £5 surcharge if the barcode is removed or damaged. One lucky person has 2 to pay for and both from the same person by the looks of it. OUCH!!

We are currently looking for a temporary part time worker to join us for the early morning shift (7.15am start) Mon-Fri during the Easter holidays for a few hours each day (although this could increase at short notice). Duties include stocking shelves, checking dates, some heavy lifting may be required.

EDIT - May extend to beyond Easter holidays.

As we are approaching the closing day of our Bank of Scotland Millport branch (tomorrow 20/2), I’d like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff who have served the community over the years. Thankfully nobody is losing their jobs which is a bit of good news on this sad day. Good luck to everyone for the future.

Today we say goodbye to Gary Oscar Dobbin who is leaving us to join the SFRS HQ in Johnstone. We all wish him good luck as he moves on to the next chapter in his life.

Over the festive period we will be closed Monday and Tuesday (both weeks), and intend to operate our normal Sunday hours (9.30am - 4pm) on Christmas Eve and Hogmanay.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their business and support this year. As always, it is very much appreciated.

With it being S⬆️2C (stand up 2 cancer) night on Channel 4 it seems rather fitting to confirm that our recent charity bucket in aid of this great cause raised £445 which we will make up to £500. Thanks to every person who chucked their change into the bucket and helped raise this amazing amount. What a fantastic effort from our customers. Thank you again!! The bucket was recently removed to make way for the Poppy Appeal but it will be back out shortly to raise more money for another great cause.

As the season draws to an end with the October school week, Friday 20th of October 23, will be our last official 7.30pm closing time, until Christmas. So it’ll be 6pm closing Monday-Sat from Mon 23rd.
