We mainly work using the latest Solidworks software for the CAD process and GeoMagic for Solidworks with reverse engineering which compliments our 3D scanner. If you're a hobbyist, Garden Shed Rocket Scientist, Curcuit Benders, Comicon Cosplayers , after a Prototype or anyone with an idea and needs it to come alive, get in touch! We have a Raise3D E2 printer and a Ultimaker 2+ EXT 3D printer which

can print with ABS, PLA, Flexible TPU and PETG plus other thermoplastic materials. A Co2 Laser cutting/engraving service is also available. We can cut/engrave non metallic materials up to 700mm x 500mm. Outsourcing for CNC machining or Sheet metal can be arranged too.

I finally have my hands on the Freescan Combo 3D scanner. Thank you to 3DGBIRE for the support and supplying 3D scanner. I'm looking forward to putting this into action and helping to increase the quality of the reverse engineering service I already offer. Using this with the powerful QUICKSURFACE and for Solidworks will offer a great service to those looking for reverse engineering as well as some metrology options.

Bugs Bunny won't be happy! A customer (not Elmer Fudd) accidentally dropped and broke their shotgun's fore-end. Using 3D scanning, QUICKSURFACE for data clean-up, and Mesh2Surface for SolidWorks CAD modelling, a replacement fore-end was 3D printed. The repair was a success, so Bugs is on the run again!

Our Story

Welcome to DMP 3D. DMP 3D was started in June 2015 to help people bring their ideas, inventions to life and since then it has evolved to providing a 3D Scanning service and Laser Cutting/Engraving service with non metallic materials. Since then we’ve reverse engineered and 3D printed hard to find parts to designing a large jig used to located parts for a printing company and having 3D printed parts and machined parts to complete the project. We currently have two Ultimaker 2 3D printers capable of printing up to 223mm x 223mm x 305mm and now a Raise3D E2 with a build volume of up to 330mm x 240mm x 240mm which can all print with ABS, PLA, TPU and PETG. 3D scanning uses a white light projected on to a non reflective surface and can scan from 3cm. Ideally it works best for light coloured parts. If any work such as SLS 3D printing or CNC manufacturing needs to be done, we can source those too.
