🎄🍷 A Heartfelt Thank You from All of Us 🍷🎄

This isn’t how we imagined spending Christmas—there’s not a mountain or pair of skis in sight—but we’re so grateful to be where we are.

We’re thrilled to share some good news: Paul is recovering really well! While he’s frustrated at not being able to do much, the doctors say he’s well ahead of target. It’s onwards and upwards from here!

We can’t thank you—our wonderful customers and friends—enough for the cards, presents, hugs, and overwhelming support you’ve shown us. From offers to work for free, help with deliveries, and even Christmas invitations, your kindness has truly meant the world.

A special shoutout to Ash for hosting the Rothschild tasting, and to , Katie, and Bella McKeogh for stepping in during late-night shopping. And to our amazing friend Field, who handed us the keys to his London place—we’ll never forget your generosity.

This month also marked the 10th anniversary of our shop in Mayfield. While we couldn’t celebrate as planned, we feel so honoured to be part of this incredible community. Over the years, so many of you have become dear friends, and we can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with you soon.

For now, we wish you all a Merry Christmas and a successful New Year. Here’s to raising a glass together soon and creating more wonderful memories in 2025 🥂

It’s been a whirlwind of a week in our quest to bring our customers the best in the world of wine!

We kicked off on Monday with a Crémant Masterclass, diving deep into the world of sparkling wines from France, exploring the nuances that set Crémant apart and make it so special.

On Tuesday, we had the privilege of attending the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux 2022 Vintage Tasting — an incredible showcase of Bordeaux’s top producers and an exciting glimpse into the young 2022 vintage. The day culminated in an unforgettable dinner with the prestigious Rothschild Estate, where we experienced the exceptional heritage and expertise that define their wines.

Wednesday brought us to Spain, with a tasting hosted by Marqués de Riscal. We explored their innovative take on Rioja and Rueda wines, celebrating their commitment to tradition and quality.

We had the pleasure of indulging in the Laurent-Perrier range at Tom Kerridge’s exclusive private dining room at the Corinthia Hotel—an unforgettable experience of taste and luxury.

The highlight? Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle served in an exquisite magnum. This exceptional cuvée, known for its blend of the best vintages, truly shined in the magnum format, revealing complex notes of toasted brioche, white flowers, honey, and citrus with an incredibly fine mousse. Tonight, Jacqui had the privilege of attending a dinner celebrating the 100th anniversary of Jadot’s Château Jacques. In the quest for new and exciting wines, it’s easy to forget the timeless classics. Well tonight, the glasses came off – the wines were superb, reigniting her appreciation for Beaujolais and highlighting the amazing value they offer. Not forgetting that The 1990 vintage screamed its remarkable aging potential 😋. The food at was equally fabulous, making for an unforgettable evening! 🍷✨

You can take us out of the wine shop but can’t take the wine out of us 😂. After 40yrs of visiting this area and many, many sherry tastings - we had the best one yesterday at valdespino ! Previously had a Sherry paired dinner at which taught us a lot about pairing Sherry with food and yesterday we Tasted 9 different Sherrys including some amazing vintage sherrys Thank you followed by a very special evening in Seville what’s not to love ❤️ #
