Great Ancoats Street Post Office

We’ve made some important strides to improve service and speed at the counter in Ancoats. With Spring Gardens closing soon, putting a reminder out there about all that we offer in store. Business Banking, Free cash withdrawals, Amazon parcel pickup/return facility… and more! Recently we started offering Euros too! 👍🏼

As well as being open 7 days, we are early till late too from 8am to 8pm 👌🏼 Lucy has been a familiar face in this office since we began with the Post Office, she’s trained and spent time building up the offering here. There’s lots to do and we will keep at it

EGG & CO

Testing and trialling with us back in 2018 in Ancoats - have been waiting to make their move with their signature Eggs in Brioche

Over the last 6 months they’ve opened in Stretford Foodhall with us and their success there has made them a permanent fixture in Ancoats and Deansgate Sq General Stores. Launching just this week in Deansgate Square.

Working alongside both sites have a formidable offering for mornings and lunchtimes 🍳

Proud to host a retail safari today.

Retailers, suppliers, and general industry professionals from far and wide came together to have a look at what we are up to in Manchester.

Showing them Deansgate Square General Store and Sale Foodhall were real ‘pinch me’ moments of pride ✌🏼

Pre, During and Post pandemic stresses that we traded through have all resulted in a immense set of people who now drive us to new heights today. We aren’t perfect but we are close knit. Here’s to them 🍺

Just back from Falkirk.

We presented the Store Group journey so far, past, present and optimistic future! We are proud of our focus on People and Process which keeps things simple and focussed.

Being invited by the Scottish Grocers Federation is lovely milestone.

Networking with retailers in a Scotland and beyond provides us with huge insight. Sharing and considering information in the current climate provides a grounding and preparation for the future.

We’ve grown over the last year to double our business. This year we have set ourselves a huge target to focus on training and colleague engagement.

We are still a work in progress and enjoy every time we evolve and move forward processes. This month sees many colleagues complete packs and we are proud to have delivered phase one of a critical journey in training.

April has also also seen many colleagues rise from within and the first draft of a Apprentice programme which allows for someone to touch on all areas of the business.

Looking forward to where this huge internal stride takes us 🤞🏼

Handyman | General Maintenance | All round good guy 👍🏼

We’ve got all sorts of odd jobs and loose ends to get sorted across our estate. Little electrical adjustments, tidy up some loose joinery, smarten up areas with decorating or maybe even making some adjustments to store plumbing. Liaising with engineers or specialist suppliers to bring in some expertise to get the bigger jobs done.

We are looking for an all rounder who is qualified in the above and also understands our customer focussed business needs to keep moving forward seven days a week.
