The Solent Cellar Our shop is located on St Thomas Street and although the building dates back to the 17th Century, we have a much more modern approach to selling wine!

Our aim is to create a relaxed and informal environment, where our friendly team are always on hand. We are an independent wine merchant specialising in small, quality-driven producers. We stock wines from all over the world and take great care in hand selecting each one and are passionate about sourcing wines from small, quality driven producers.We also have an extensive range of spirits and craft beer selection.

What a night! Diving deep into the region of Alsace. Simon guided us through 6 wines from this beautiful region, providing an amazing insight into the different grape varieties and styles of wine it has to offer. Fantastic tasting of this evening with the ever passionate . Surprise of the night for me was how much we enjoyed the Alias Sauvignon Blanc, that has delicate barrel ageing adding complexity and texture to the wine. The Chardonnay and Pinot Noir beautifully crafted and offer a great alternative to Burgundy.
