Last night a group of teenagers smashed our front doors and stole some beer.

We want to thank our kind neighbours who were straight out to help and unfortunately were verbally and physically attacked by the group. A kind passer by also jumped in to help. Even when the adults arrived they continued to try to gain entry and attack them.

The police were called and eventually rounded them up, to a barrage of verbal abuse. They even had the audacity to throw pebbles at the police and our neighbours who were trying to clean up and protect the tap room.

We’re obviously really saddened by this and again want to thank our neighbours and staff.

We’re open as usual, despite the boarded window. Thanks everyone for the kind messages so far.

Plenty of brewing going down at the moment as we (try!) to build stock for the summer season before we decommission the old brewhouse and install the new one!

Mike is putting in one enormous month or 2 to get plenty of fresh beer ready for you to enjoy.

It’s not as simple as just closing down the production for a few weeks and installing the new kit!

We will bring you plenty of updates in the coming weeks on how it’s all going and some insights into the new kit and how it works! First up will be the install of the new fermenters and our new CIP system.

We’re thrilled to officially announce our South West award winning beers - presented to us last week

Lyme Gold was awarded Gold in the Cask Session Pale Ale Category

Black Ven also won a Gold in the Cask British Dark Beer Category

and Dorset Pearl picked up a Silver in the Keg Session Pale Ale Category

We’re super proud of this and in particular Mike’s efforts to revamp these recipes.
