It’s daunting but you have to put yourself out there if you want your business to grow.

Sales is one thing but building a brand that makes customers return is a whole new ball game.

We created a demand that took time, but over time, the graph is in the ‘gradual’ upward position.

Slow and steady…

Yes, not everyday is wonderful, but that’s business.

Business has steps.

Theory can get you so far, but getting your hands dirty and learning the small things can really differentiate you from the others 🙏

We are taking a short break 🏖️

Our online platforms have been switched off as we are away for our little summer holiday 🤘

We will resume normal service on August 7th.

Those that have already made orders will be fulfilled today 🙏

WE WILL BE trading at the Great Dorset Chilli Festival on the 5th & 6th of August so don’t fret, this means we’re back from the sun and back on the chillies 🌶️

Can’t wait to just chill the f*** out 🥹

When you have a customer with multiple stores and they order simultaneously, you need to come up with an order system that will make your life simpler…

The good ol’ pen and paper grid system, developed in Excel and printed off 😅😎

This way I can see how many of each items in total I need and which stores need them.

Then the beauty of my job is to arrange deliveries for all of them and book them in.

Easy Peasy 👍

This particular order always has to be over 2 days because one half is NW & East London and the other half is in South London (sorry but I hate going south of the River 🫣)

Our next confirmed Chilli Festival this weekend, Saturday 3rd June at the amazing Reading Chilli Festival 🙌

Our third year with these guys and each time has been an epic venture.

Situated right in the heart of the Broad Street Town Center with many chilli traders, food & drink, and entertainment for the families out there 🙏

Back on it today 🙏

The leg is recovering well and I’m less cobbling than I was this time last week 😆🫣

The long awaited BBQ Mango Chilli Sauce is back and available online on all channels.

An awesome sauce that puts the ‘Mmmm’ in every mouthful.

Perfect for chips and burgers 😋

Most of the other flavours should be in stock but I must stress the large catering 650g Chilli Oil with Shrimp will be backlogged as we have a huge demand for them at the moment for our wholesale customers.

Please be patient as we’re producing more batches this week and next 🙏

Main thing is that it feels good to be back and in the midst of it all, even if it’s as stressful as ever 😇

The PG version of my weekend antics.

Obtained a football injury whilst serving my latest goalkeeping duties on Saturday.

Got caught on a 50/50 challenge, which I cleared mind you 😅

Didn’t realise the severity of the knee until the end of the first half, that’s when I got bandaged up and went to
A&E (hence PG version, the actual flesh wound is a tad graphic 🫣)

So unfortunately, I won’t be able to do any orders both online and wholesale until I recover (a week or so 🙏)

The online channels have already been switched off 👍

For those who have already placed orders please be patient and I will fulfill it as soon as I can 🤞

Living the grind life is not an easy task.

I wish for the days where I’d have enough stock to cover ALL customers.

I wish for the days where everything was affordable.

I wish for easy months EVERY month.

I wish to be in EVERY retailer in the UK.

I wish to be the number 1 go to spicy condiment.

I wish…

Reality is, you can’t wish if you don’t do anything about it.

I have the ability to wish for the above AND more because I continue to perfect the craft and understand the CPG industry on a daily basis.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I’m not trying to be better than everyone else but I can sure inspire others to keep up the graft as it is THIS that will allow you the possibility to even achieve what you wish for 🙏

Don’t be a wisher, be a doer 💪

Hard work is so underrated.

I mean, there are some people who think they can cut corners and expect to conquer the world.

In reality, you must do the work, real work.

Granted you can set up systems to automate the ‘boring’ work but the chunk of it you have to get your hands dirty, understanding various concepts, how each component works individually and as an integrated process etc.

Once you get to grips with the whole process, then you can think about easing the pedal off a little bit…

Gain those ‘battle scars’, the so called experience points and you become more credible in your work, thus attracting the good people who you need in your network 🙏

It all comes right round and helps your business for the long term 💙

Packing an order of multiple items and to be shipped via DHL.

It all starts from trial and error.

You don’t know where to start so you start from the beginning.

You got a product? Good

You have a website that can process orders? Good

Can you send your product to the customer via the post or courier? Good

If you think you can’t for the last question, Google it, there’s thousands of answers and you’d be surprised on how little you need to get started 🙏

Then it’s a matter of tweaking this process and rinse and repeating it till you can do this effortlessly.

Social Media is there to help you grow awareness for your product NOT just to sell your products.

If your product is good enough and you allow enough people to see what you do, they will come to you naturally, sometimes trying to force a sale is quite difficult.

Rolling out towards the end of the week 🔥

Some deliveries had to be rescheduled and booked on a Sunday 😅

One van and multiple locations is just a ballache when stores are all over the place.

So it makes sense to sort them in terms of regions, which means this has to be dedicated over a few days.

Those out of London have to be transported via third party couriers… special thanks to Freight Finders Limited - UK for sorting us out this service, one less headache for me to think about 🙏

Then it’s actually loading up the tin can and away we go

You start the day with negativity, screaming at the kids, or even just leave the front door with bad thoughts, it’s going to affect the rest of your day.

Train your mind to filter the negativity and absorb positivity.

I’m not perfect, and the kids do my head in every morning, but I can still muster up some sort of vibe as I leave the front door 🫣😁

A bit of a mare with no jars until Monday (and that’s a BIG IF) 🤞🤞

Buying the rest of the stock ready for next week but if no jars, then we’re pretty much at a standstill.

It’s easier said to obtain from another supplier but the reality is the fact the relationship between this supplier is second to none and to obtain that quantity of a particular size, cost AND delivered from another company is just way off.

I’m sure this is a one off as she did say it’s never happened before…

Unfortunately it’s a waiting game 🙏😭

Packing the few online orders that my inventory has to offer 🫣

Still got to show up and take accountability for all actions.

Should receive the jars at some point before Friday, and still buying bits and pieces ready for full replenishment next week.

These are our ‘growing pains’ where we are receiving demand for our products and we can’t fulfill them properly or fully 🙁

That’s the art of business.

You cannot expect it to run smoothly, it almost never does 🥲

Definitely proof in the pudding, you need to hold on for as long as you can then it will pop 💥

Trying to make good out of a not so good situation.

Waiting on jars, red alert low inventory meaning website is on tight stock control, wholesalers on a waiting list, windscreen washers frozen on the van so got a naughty smear across the windscreen can’t see for sh*t…

Moving forward with what stock we have left and rationing appropriately 🙏

Happy Lunar New Year 🧧🐇

We have been busy getting our stuff out to some of our wholesale customers who ordered last week.

As some of you are aware, it’s Chinese New Year tomorrow on the 22nd.

Today is the eve, otherwise known as the Lunar New Year.

It’s a time to enjoy the fruits of business and eat to your heart’s content, a time spent with loved ones, and being happy overall 😊

Humility and gratitude is this year’s lesson ✨

With about 70% of the order going out this week, our customers will be able to enjoy the fruits of Chinese New Year 🧧 🐇

It has been hectic with a our jar supplier informing us that our 8oz hexagonals are on production and will be with us early next week 😅

Now with extreme low glass jars we can only distribute to our other customers so much.

It’s a matter of holding on and waiting an extra week unfortunately 🙏

Even our main jar supplier has said that this has never happened before 😭

Oh well, just got to deal with it and roll with what we currently have 🫣

We’re doing the best we can to allow the remaining customers some latter stock and then restock properly once these beauties come in 🙏
