🍷 As a young winemaker, Anthony Thévenet worked for with two of the founding fathers of organic viticulture in Beaujolais – Georges Descombes and Jean Foillard. For over five years he explored the depths of organic practices while crafting a plan to make his own wine.

“I always wanted to be organic, organic, organic! To not use chemicals at all. For my daughter, for my 74 year-old grandmother who works with us… for everyone really.”

🇪🇸 Bodegas y Viñedos Rodrigo Méndez is a small project that was launched in 2012 by extremely talented winemaker Rodrigo Méndez who focuses on wines from the village of Meaño, in the heart of the , NW Spain, where he was born.

He produces very limited bottlings a year, following old school organic methods of winemaking and vineyard management. The result is a range of wines we are extremely proud to represent.

For centuries, winemakers and their vineyards have weathered storms ☀️🌨️☔️ - literally and metaphorically. But the last few years have brought change that even the best farmers cannot predict 😔.

It’s not just bad luck anymore, it’s a new normal of adapting to climate extremes that threaten to unravel, in some cases, centuries of work.

Ludovic Engelvin is one of those rare people that live up to his name. A name he’s created for himself in the wine world, and quite literally his surname - “angel wine”.

💪🏼 He’s survived a heavy dose of hardships in recent years – from drought, hail and frost to a forced relocation of his entire operation. But he has overcome it all and remains fiercely dedicated to both making exceptional wines and to the region.

We believe he is one of a select few who are the future of great wines from the Languedoc. These are thoughtful wines made with minimal,  practices and an honest focus on quality and expression above all.
