A fantastic set from Produttori: 1974 Barbaresco with special label.
Incredibly youthful in colour—garnet-tinged but with a true ruby core. The nose bursts with fresh red fruit (cherry, raspberry, strawberry), remarkably pure and vibrant. The palate remains taut, with firm tannins and bright acidity, leaning towards sour fruit. Far from over the hill—stunningly young and unexpectedly powerful for 51 years old.

A fantastic set of bottles from Natale Mascarello, Giuseppe's brother. After their father Maurizio’s passing, the two split the family vineyards—much like the Conterno brothers. Natale carried on his father’s legacy in every bottle. Here, you’ll see the labels reading ‘MASCARELLO NATALE fu MAURIZIO’—a traditional Italian way to honour a late founder.

Another incredible Barolo from Bruno Giacosa: 1964 Riserva Speciale.

Here the breadth, power and muscle of Barolo come through loud and clear while preserving quite a bit of brawn and steeliness for a wine of its age, with distinct earthiness, iron, smoke, rose petal and orange peel overtones that add nuance throughout.

Another incredible Barolo from Bruno Giacosa: 1964 Riserva Speciale.

Finding mature Monfortino in great condition is tough, but finding it in these massive formats? Nearly impossible. Straight from a private Italian collector’s cellar, these 13-litre (yes, thirteen) bottles of Monfortino are something truly special. This rare format, Quarto di Brenta, comes from an old Piedmontese measurement (~55L for a full Brenta). A few vintages, including 1955 and 1961, were bottled in this size at Giacomo Conterno, though records are scarce. A true collector’s dream. Available on request – enquire via DM.

Thrilled to have found a new ̶h̶o̶m̶e̶ cellar for this incredible rarity: the 1967 Produttori del Barbaresco Riserva Speciale Martinenga. This exceptional wine was made only once, as the Martinenga vineyard—Barbaresco’s sole monopole—belongs to the Gresy family. After this vintage, they family took full control of the vineyard, producing wines exclusively under their own label. A true piece of history in the glass!

The greatest Solaia ever? Produced by the famous Florentine wine family Antinori, Solaia was one of the forerunners of the super Tuscan phenomenon. The 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese blend shows a massive concentration of fruit and tannins, yet it comes across as balanced and harmonious. It’s a wine for a long-term aging. Winemaker Renzo Cotarella says he is not sure if he will ever make a better wine than the 1997 Solaia. Now in stock
