The latest addition to the independent retailers of Lordship Lane, La Cave de Bruno is committed to offering wine lovers something new and different to try. This new shop offers Bruno and Lou the chance to share their passion for wine and the knowledge and expertise they have gained from over 15 years in the wine business. Bruno and Lou have personally tasted and sourced all the wines they sell, b

uilding close relationships with a select number of producers who love the idea of their beloved wines being appreciated by the locals of East Dulwich. "Many of our wine producers won’t sell to bigger merchants, as they want to know exactly where their wines will be sold. Our idea is to bring local French wines from every region to your glass at home." At La Cave de Bruno, expect to find:

- A predominantly French selection, complemented by a range of carefully sourced European wines
- Over 70% of wines personally sourced from France
- Wines from small producers, guaranteed not to be sold anywhere else in the UK

Phew! Our pallet from one of our lovely Beaujolais winemakers has arrived just in time!! Lou was panicking for a bit there, always hiccups on the emergency pallets!! This year we’ve got the Nouveau from the wonderful This year’s 2024 is light, fresh, fruity and low in alcohol. Come join us and try it by the glass, carafe or bottle to drink in and take away!

By the glass and on tasting this week we have a Pinot Blanc ‘Vielles Vignes’ (old vines) from the beautiful Alsace region. This wine has a beautiful nose with tense aromas and white flowers. Great with fish, shellfish and white meats, not to mention aperitif!

La Truffiére AOP Bordeaux from the right bank. A bold, smooth and fruity wine from this, as expected from the 2018 vintage. Perfect for those winter dishes like stews and game.
