We’re fairly jealous this month putting together our wine club boxes as we get them prepped to be delivered to our ever growing wine club members.

You can sign up to a monthly or bi-monthly case or 6 or 12 bottles and choose between all red, all white or mixed wines.

To make it even better, every bottle we buy from Black Lines they we be donating £1 to Save The Children’s Gaza Crisis emergency fund.

New in from the iconic Domaine de Trévallon.

Domaine de Trévallon is located in the Medieval town of Les Baux-de-Provence, purchased by artist Rene Durrbach in 1955, who always felt it was the perfect place to grow grapes and make wine.

It was later in 1973 that his son Eloi Durrbach moved from Paris to create the winery at his parents property. In order to create the vineyard he had to dynamite part of the surrounding hills 🧨

They have 20 hectares in total across several small parcels of Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah, as well as very small amount of white grapes Marsanne, Roussanne, Clairette, Chardonnay and Grenache Blanc for their elusive white Cuvee.

The vineyards are cultivated naturally with no chemical interventions.

The wines were later removed from the DO appellation which only increased the demand and cult status of these wines.

Only 3 bottles available at £99.95 per bottle.

Easily one of the best skin contact wines we’ve tried made by the enigmatic

Made from local grapes, 85% Quebranta and 15% Mollar and aged in skins for 30 days. Textured and complex but with remarkable elegance. Smoked peach, orange peel, chamomile and quince…what a wine!

We love Pisco and these are easily the best we have come across.

Made by from the Valle de Pisco in Peru, the Pisco production is managed by , affectionately known as “The Gentleman of Pisco” such is his reputation as a producer of Pisco.

Rather than creating mass products across grape variety and vintage these 2 Pisco’s are varietal and vintage specific; a Quebranta 2018 and a Negra Criolla 2018.

Production is extremely limited with only 2,700 bottles made of the Quebranta and 4,000 of the Negra Criolla.

Available in store and online and we have a bottle of each open in the shop if you want to give these amazing spirits a try!

Our in store mini-wine tasting sessions have been incredibly popular this year.

Available on Fridays and Saturdays in our bar area and can be booked at your chosen time for 2, 4 or 6-8 people. A great idea for a date night or a get-together with a group of friends.

It’s the perfected relaxed wine tasting option which includes 4 wine tasters, platters and snacks depending on your party size. We provide full tasting notes for your wines and our staff will be on hand to run through details of each of the wines you will be trying. There’s also a cheeky little 10% discount if you want to but any of the wines you try to take home!

We have 2 packages always available; our ‘Traditionalist’ package includes a trad-method sparkling wine, white, rose and red. The ‘Adventurous’ package includes a pet-nat sparkling wine, white, orange and red.

Always a treat when wines from arrive in the shop.

We received our allocation of their 2020 Bourgogne Aligote and their 2020 Old Vine Meursault,

Family owned for over 5 generations and based in the heart of Meursault, they have been crafting exquisite Burgundy wines since their inception. Balancing richness and opulence with minerality and acidity to produce elegant but dangerously drinkable wines.

Meursault Vieilles Vignes 2020 (£69.95) - sourced from 2 village lieu-dits Les Malpoiriers and Les Pellans planted in 1935 and 1930. Opulent spice, fresh apple and fennel with rich structure, texture and fresh acidity - sublime.

Bourgogne Aligote 2020 (£26.95) - made from 100% Meursault fruit from a variety of vines aged between 40-80 years old and aged for a year in neutral oak. Fleshy body with lots of structure, stone fruit and minerality - with a nice bit of age this is essentially a baby Meursault, incredible value!

This week Jaime has been on a jolly/work trip to visit Hugo and Ana at @graubaume in Douro, Portugal. We exclusively import these wines direct through our sister company @vino_vero_imports and couldn’t be more honoured to represent them in the UK. We’re open until 10pm so we’d suggest you come along and grab some bottles! We have the Grau Baume White and their UNDO orange 2.0 on by the glass at the moment. The Grau Baume Red 2016 has been incredibly popular and we have around 3 bottles left which is the last of the vintage
