It’s gloomy as f*ck and freezing cold - so here’s a little sunshine and a photo of me in a famous Burgundian vineyard!

We have a Californian Pinot on by-the-glass today which I reckon can give a lot of pricier Burgundian offerings a run for their (considerable) money.

Some of the new white wines on our by-the-glass list this weekend!!

Bonny Doon Picpoul, fabulously fruity with beeswax and floral notes. Super easy drinking - luckily it’s only 10.5% abv!!

A limey, thirst-slakingly piercing Mosel Valley Riesling. Bone dry and oh so delicious!!

Favorita, a rare grape from the Langhe in Piedmont, northern Italy. With peachy notes and a lick of minerality, this is great with soft cheeses and fatty salami!!

MacMurray Pinot Noir from Russian River in …….. California is proper Pinot, rich and fruity but with a silky elegance.

Laura’s first dip in the Pacific at Bodega Bay, California last week!!

We are planning a Californian wine evening later in the spring, hosted by Laura & Simon. Basically a bit like getting you to pay to come and look at our holiday photos and get pis*ed!!

The food pairings will be interesting. Chardonnay with Peanut Butter M&M’s, anyone?!

Another FABULOUS wine!! Some among the team aren’t too keen on the label, but Rich is wrong…

La Celia were the first winery to plant Malbec in Mendoza - that’s quite some pedigree right there!!

Dry, crisp and fruity - ideal with spicy foods or just smashed back on its own!!

Join us for some of our outstanding Cheese & Charcuterie this weekend!! Pick & Mix whichever cheeses and cured-meats you would like, all served with Sourdough, crackers, Quince Jelly and lovely crunchy pickles!!

You can enjoy this to eat-in, or have it prepped and packed for you to take away and enjoy at home!!

Astral has been busy "Valentines-ing" the window display in the shop!!

We've never really gone in for stuff like this at Vine, but since they did all of it whilst I (Simon...) was away, I may as well get behind it!!

Friday 14th February - book to join us just like any other Friday, only we'll give you and your beloved a glass of pink fizz to enjoy!! And maybe a chocolate, too!!
