We’ve had big restock of our beers and lots of new stuff to get your teeth into!! Lots a great new Belgium and German beers and an English Trappist Blond from . The Barrel aged bottles are now back in stock. We have a much larger range of in stock and lots of new sours and juicy IPA’s.
We also have 2 great new low alcohol beers in stock in the form of Brugse Zot Sport and Run Free from Left handed Giant

When people ask what I’ve loved recently it has to be these bottles from . To put it simply they are both absolutely GAMAYZING!!
Both are lighter style wines with great red fruit concentration. The Fleurie is a touch more floral whereas the Brouilly has a lovely subtle tannins and structure.

DON’T FORGET DESSERT!!!
We’ve got great bottles to go with whatever you decide to have after dinner. Port to go with cheeseboard, PX to go over the ice cream, Sauternes, Recioto wines from Italy. Perfect if you have a sweet tooth or want to turn the dial up on your pudding.

We’ve had a bit of a run on Italian reds of late so it made sense that we opened a favourite for everyone to try in store today.

We have a phenomenal Pinot Noir as our wine of the week. Hailing from Canada, and spending 23 months in French oak. This elegant wine boasts red fruits and vanilla flavours and has everything you’d want from a bottle of Pinot!!

It’s World Pasta Day today, so of course a bottle of something lovely and Italian is in order 🇮🇹 as the phrase goes, what grows together goes together, which is definitely the case for Italian cuisine and wines! While we can’t source you the pasta, we can definitely suggest a fantastic wine that’ll marry well, so if you’re looking to enjoy your pasta with a generous glass or two, we can surely help with that 🍷

While there are plenty of occasions throughout the year that require gifts, the busiest time of the year for giving gifts is just around the corner, so we thought it a good time to shout out about our free gift wrapping service! If you’re buying a wine or spirit for a loved one, Anita James and Becca are always more than happy to gift wrap it for you-that little extra touch goes a long way! And if you’re ordering online for pick up, just add that you’d like it gift wrapped in the notes, and the job’s a good ‘un!

Today we had the pleasure of a visit from Ignacio of Valdespino, tasting through Valdespino’s range of sherry, and it’s definitely brightened our week! We were able to taste some familiar favourites as well as a few truly special things, a huge thank you is owed to our lovely sales rep Richard for organising the visit and to Ignacio for taking the time to visit us! All those sherries have definitely got us in the mood for Christmas!

And that’s our October tastings wrapped up! Last night’s Argentinian wine night was a whole load of fun, with some real gems on taste, like the fortified Torrontes that was a hit with everyone for sure! Thank you to everyone that attended, to Eugenia for your wonderful guidance, to for arranging the nibbles and to for providing your amazing cheese! The countdown to our Annual Christmas tasting begins now and we can’t wait!

We’ve had an influx of requests for steak pairings that aren’t Malbec today, so we thought we’d share a new favourite to get you all inspired too! We fell in love with this Tempranillo produced in California at our Wines of Canada and USA tasting a couple of weeks ago: it packs wonderful depth and body with brambly fruits, balanced tannins and a hint of chocolate, and so of course it marries oh so well with roasted red meats and a juicy steak! What’s your favourite wine to pair with steak?
